Not a dream, not a hoax, not an April Fool's joke: Michael P is your Citizen of the Month for March 2008! Michael P has been a valued member of this community for many years, but this appears to be the first time he's ever been COTM. However, considering his long history of good citizenship, this award is long overdue.

Michael won in a landslide with 17 votes, although five other people received multiple votes. DoctorDoom, a new member of our community, was the runner-up with 7 votes. The other nominees were:

Seriously, though, thanks to everyone who voted for me. As for those who didn't, well, your names have been put on a list, and I'm preparing divine retribution as we speak.

I hope to serve as your Citizen of the Month with distinction, honor, and dignity, but really, how likely is that? Instead, I will probably continue to make posts containing inane puns, psychotic non sequitors, pedantic corrections of spelling and grammar, and self-effacing whining about how I can't get laid. I mean, why change what works?

At the end of my tenure, I hope we'll have shared some special times, had a few laughs, and maybe, just maybe, learned something about ourselves. And I hope, when that all-too soon day does arrive, and I pass the tiara on to the next in line, that you'll all look back upon my reign over the boards, and remember:

It's your own goddamned fault.
