CBRdraws is simple. We pick a character from comics, games, cartoons, whatever, and then people post their own drawings of that character.
It never closes, so its not like you have to do a drawing by the end of the week, but if you want a challenge each week to draw something you didn't expect to, it might be a good excercise.
No level of skill required, this is just for fun. It can be a splash page or part of a story. It can be penicils, inks, colors, paint, photography... really anything goes.
This week, your assignment is to draw Alan Moore's V!
Some Reference (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_(comics)).
Have fun!

CBRunway is keeping me very busy... but when I saw the theme for this, I couldn't resist---I love this character. And since we have to do colored pics for the contest, I'm enjoying doing just a pencil sketch for this theme. The sketch is a rough at the moment (I threw a couple of hours at it today, but now have to do some family stuff for a while)---hopefully I'll get a chance to get back to it and give it more shading, etc.
Anyway, here he is: "V" Bows:

(And Matt, I blame you for my current "art-junkie-ism" ;) doing the stuff for CBRunway has got me drawing all the time. That's a good thing, btw---thanks!) :D

Hah...I'll gladly take blame for fostering creativity. :)

Finally got it finished! Only a couple of tiny tweaks with Photoshop, mainly to clean up a couple of very small spots where I couldn't get the eraser corner to go... otherwise, it's all pencils.

I'm really surprised this thread isn't more popular, seems like a pretty simple yet super cool character. Here's my rendition....haha, his hat makes him look a bit like a leprican

Great job Solaris and rauschkolb.
V is great character and great story. And how topical it is now when people are monitored closer then ever.

Thanks, but I canīt really take credit from that. Have to give that to David Lloyd as this picture is strongly inspired from the original illustration and colouring of the comicbook itself.
