all for 25cents apiece and almost all in NM condition which made it i guess even better, though i simply bought them to read...
first of all i found super-villain team-up 18 and 19...
fun story, featuring the red skull and a hate-monger/hitler, with the help of arnim zola trying to recreate the cosmic cube...the awesomness of what could have happened didn't, but fun nonetheless...
spectre 1-12 of the ostrander/mandrake series...
i know i have a couple of these somewhere, but for 25 cents apiece, why not get the first year...
at the time this came out, i didn't follow DC too much, but this run could be, at least in my eyes, one of the more enjoyable and underrated recent runs...
the stories are very simple yet provocative, dealing with things that i don't think you see too much on a typical DC hero level, #5 jumps out at me with the buried child...
the art is solid and fits the pacing and attitude of the book well, even the dark colors have a vibrance (is that a word?) to them...
i may just have to go bacak since they have somewhere up to the 50's i believe and pick up the rest of this teams work...
filled in some silver surfers from the 3rd series run which i've slowly put together over the years...
also picked up some house of secrets and house of mystery books...
they have most, although i already do also of the sandman vertigo run in there after issue 15 or so...also many of the shade the changing man vertigo books...
pretty awesome, hadn't been there in a while and forgot what kind of awesome reading can come from it...
forogt to look for the kirby celestials marvel series...hmmm...maybe i'll have to head back...
