That episode is pretty much the reason I started reading DC comics. It was my first exposure to Huntress. It is the best episode ever.

God, "Double Date" is soooooooo good. It's JLU awesomeness.

JLU was a damned good show, and thus had a lot of great episodes. But that one is easily one of my very few favorites.

Yeah, I loved JLU Green Arrow. I want to marry him.

I never got around to watching that Tomb Raider stuff. I have to remember to check it out when I am not at work.

One person in chat last night brought up his theory that the DC Ollie changed as a result of the JLU Ollie.

I never thought of it that way, but when he laid it out, it made sense (at least in my gin-induced haze).

And a propos of very little, I recently finally read "Archer's Quest" and can't believe how much of a man-crush I have on Meltzer. That's one of the most beautiful super-hero stories I've ever read. Just sayin'.

This surprises me, because I do not want to marry DCU Ollie. (Well, that's not entirely true. I'd marry "Green Arrow: Year One" Ollie.) Like I said, I started reading DC Comics after I started watching JLU, and while all the characters differ from their comic book counterparts, of my favorites from the cartoon (Green Arrow, Black Canary, Huntress and Question), Green Arrow is the only one whose comic book counterpart has completely underwhelmed me. Maybe it's all the baggage. Or maybe it was the mayoral thing. Or maybe it was just Winick's writing. I'm not sure. I should read more older stuff.

She was the original choice for Snow White's voice before an ugly incident with one of Walt Disney's polo ponys stuffed it.

Ahhhh, that episode was cute! :D

Heres a link to the site where they came from. (http://tombraider.gametap.com/)

The first three were written by Peter Chung, that is to say they have little to do with Tomb Raider, and more to do with Peter Chung's expressionistic crap.

The rest of them are fun little mini adventures.

Now hold on a moment. While I'm no fan of Chungs usual expressionists obsessive stories, I thought it actually fit rather well for Tomb Raider, and actually thought those three were some of the best episodes out of the ten on the site.
I particularly liked his showing all the gods as equals in the scenes where their council was shown. And the light, almost playful nature they were portrayed to have, regarding the whole situation felt very suiting. The whole thing felt very fitting for Tomb Raider to me.

Sorry Chiro but I'm not buying it.

Wheres the remote locals? Wheres the puzzles and or traps? Wheres the Monsters? More importantly where is the giant monsters?

At least the others managed to capture the spirit of the games, those three episodes just captured the spirit of Peter Chung. It was an Aeon Flux rehash with Lara Croft subbing for Aeon.

Ah, but not all of Lara adventure's happened in remote locales and ancient tombs. I'll admit it didn't capture THAT aspect of her character at all.
However, there are plenty of levels/adventures she's had in cities, or manors or all sorts of other modern day action hero stuff.

Of course, I also consider the TR comics from TopCow to be a very fitting tye in to the games and the continuity of her character, and that story felt like something straight out of her comics so it felt alot more suiting to me. I could see how if one only considered the traditional storylines of the games then this set of episodes wouldn't feel right at all.
Still, that three party felt very in line with the most recent game storyline too. I could easily see the Legends/Underworld version of Lara in a situation like that story put her in.

Personally I found "Episode 4: Revenge of the Mummy" to be the crappiest one there. It felt like a shitty spoof of Tomb Raider, not an actual tomb raider story. Still, I suppose we've all got our preferences. I thought those three were amongst the best of the group myself, but that sort of story isn't everyones cup of tea. I still wouldn't say it didn't fit the character or her usual adventures though. Bizarre artifacts and pagan gods have been everyday antics for her for awhile.

True, but still Mr Chung does the same thing here that he does with all of his stuff, he gets into this artsy fartsy expressionist garbage. Granted theres a few WTF moments in Lara Crofts adventures in the games and the books. But, Mr Chung has a tendency to go overboard which I don't see as much in Tomb Raider. At least there werent any fat guys with bare nipple wear in this one, so I guess that something.

I'm calling it ...

2 episodes of season 1 of that rumored new "The Brave an the Bold" style series that will replace "The Batman"
One will feature WonderWoman and/or Batgirl + Black Canary

That would rock, but unfortunately, I doubt we'll ever see Wonder Woman in the new series. I don't know if this is still the case now, but I know that there has long been a rule that, unless Wonder Woman (or associated characters) is a main character in a series, she's not allowed to appear. That's why we haven't seen Diana on Smallville, and why we never got to see Donna in the Teen Titans cartoon.
