Chuck Dixon won't say who's behind Spoiler’s mask, but does reveal that Robin fans will be seeing lots more of her in 2008, and that a “Spoiler” miniseries is in the works, too.

Didn't we kind of see who was behind the mask in the last issue of Robin?

Well, I'm glad for the Spoiler fans, but it doesn't change my feel for the book now.

The man's a good writer, and I love his take on Robin, but the majority of what he did say sounds a lot like his previous run on the book, although sounds and actually being are two different things.

That said, I'll probably keep an eye on the book so I can be proven wrong.

Something about his attitude in the interview irritates me. I'm not sure why. I've certainly loved most of his stuff in the Batman Family in the past. He seemed kinda snippy. That isnt a good sign, though I guess everyone can have a bad day. Still, wear your "nice" hat next time.

I have a sense of dread here with the decision to bring back "Spoiler" also. His comments that he didnt really understand why people liked Spoiler made me worried. I liked her, but not because she was a romantic foil. Male Fantasy?! No. Not even remotely. I liked her because of her character, because of who she was. If he doesnt get the character or the appeal, but is bringing it back, then WHY is he bringing it back? He said Spoiler was a fan favorite, but it was STEPHANIE that was the fan favorite. It wasnt the mask. IF it isnt Stephanie anymore, dont call her Spoiler. If it is ... then yet again we have another comic book resurrection. I get sick of those, even when it is a character I liked that I felt was killed unfairly (i.e. for editorial reasons).

How can this work? I will give it a try but I am not detecting much "win" in this sector. None at all.

Was thinking the same thing. Perhaps she's the girl from Gotham Underground and just happens to look a lot like Steph?

We saw her face. That's all. She knows that Robin's Tim, and has blond hair. No one said her name, so really, it could be someone other than Steph.

I don't see DC opening up that can of worms again if it's not going to be Stephanie Brown. I don't blame Dixon for dragging it out, he's got a story to tell and all that, but to me it's a forgone conclusion. If she comes back it nullifies the whole fiasco.
