Gaga is noted for her eccentric style, her overtly sexiness, and her fun strong personality. She also loves the gays. As Psylocke is a former model and pioneer of the fashion industry(like Gaga), im sure she has a very own gay psquadron[She what I did there]. Its probably why Bobby is so scared of her.(he is gay and is enamored by her goddess status) Is she truely Psylocke personified?

I really like how Davis is drawing Psylocke in the List one-shot. Her outfit looks decent, I like how he's doing the gloves and her sash.

He's one of few artists that make the Lee outfit look decent other than Lee.

Betsy and Jean also actually got pretty close after the Kwannon slutburst. Betsy and Gambit were weirdly on level too (and secret makeout buddies, don't tell Rogue!), as were Betsy and Sage (probably also secret makeout buddies). Plus there's Beast, who Betsy's always been weirdly close with, and Rachel during Reload... I'd easily rank all of them ahead of that racist hasbeen primadonna on the Betsy BFF meter.

You're also right, I think, that we need a scene where Rogue reacts to Psylocke's resurrection, and where the two women get to meet again. I'm going to try to slip that into the arc that follows the Giant-Sized...

Haha he must hate us for all of our Psylocke questions! But in all honesty, asking for a new costume is a pretty reasonable demand, considering how long she's been wearing it. And the fact that she used to be a model, which pretty much means that she should be up to date, but the fact that her modeling days are pretty much never mentioned (I admit that i found out that she modeled by reading her wiki article) with more of a focus on her being a bad-ass ninja.

Anyways, breast cleavage is MUCH hotter than ass hanging out imo.

It was fun asking about the costume though. Even on the Marvel boards people are getting sick of the thongkini. We've seen evolution in EVERY X-mans costume but hers.. it's ridiculous.

Then for some reason all those powers are gone and she has TK ONLY which she uses to make a katanna?

She switched with Jean off panel(how is that even possible) Jean later gets her TK(and loses Psylocke's powers) back but Psylcoke still only has her TK.(that Jean somehow got back)

NOW she has both her TK and her TP back...right?

I'm glad my fave only has eye lasers.

She used to use her Precog powers back in Captain Britain era then didn't use them for years until she used them once during the Gold/Blue team X-Men team era then never used them again that I can remember.

At least Kavita is being discreet. Unlike Gambit, Colossus, Forge, Iceman, Beast and Angel in this picture. Beast especially is practically drooling all over Betsy.

yeah i agree, it's unfair. i have a wii and ps2 but i just really dislike the graphics and i rather have a game with great graphics than just buy the other one just for Psylocke (even though i love her). and i wouldn't buy both versions lol. i might rent one though even though that's expensive too now. i need a real job ::sobs:: i feel like no one is hiring right now.

Okay im definitely gonna try and contact Andy Diggle about using Betts in Daredevil. Some Lady Mandarin drama is bound to happen sooner or later right?!? With DD in charge of the Hand it would be the perfect setup. Probably a lost cause but it wouldn't hurt to put the idea out there at least.

I think just Wii and PS2. they said ps3 and xbox360 might eventually get downloadable content with extra characters but i doubt she'll make the cut. crossing my fingers though (even though i don't even know how to download content on my ps3).

I wonder where she's going to fit into the new stories. Obviously it's going to be about Emma being stuck in diamond form, but the backup telepaths have always been the cuckoos, and I think they have more telepathic ability than Betsy does at this point (?)

Betsy herself said that she wasn't really telepathic but then she was communicating telepathically with Madison and Cyclops did tell everyone to be in psychic contact with either her or the Cuckoos while Emplate was at large so who knows...

Personally, I'd like her to go back to being a top-notch telepath again.

Don't forget she was also a Precog!

She used to use her Precog powers back in Captain Britain era then didn't use them for years until she used them once during the Gold/Blue team X-Men team era then never used them again that I can remember.

IIRC, she also had a pretty involved vision during the Outback era of the Reavers killing the remaining X-Men which caused her to influenced them into going through the Seige Perilous.

I think that the people who buy the game for the PS2, Wii and PSP are actually missing out. After watching the Wii version played on youtube, i noticed that the characters there are actually recycled from the old X-men Legends game. Those characters seem to carry the same buff and 2 attack powers pattern.......ex:

Jean in the Wii game still had that calming presence buff and the other 2 from X-men legends. In the PS3 version, she doesn't have a buff at all. Just 4 attack powers. Those systems did retain the fusion gameplay, but the characters and their powers are very different from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

Daredevil and Psylocke in a book would be pretty sweet, but I have a feeling that the hand that her mini will show will have no ties to daredevil's hand.

Well back on Psylocke solo book topic and outfits: Would ya'll be opposed to her having a variation of Revanche and the thongkini outfit? I love that bodysuit and colorscheme revanche had and the variation would come in for the top of the outfit where the thongkini V neck and cuts on both arms are. So the upper body would be the thongkini while the lower body would be Revanche. Plus the Sash. (Maybe not) It would be a nice tribute to revanche and show that their bond was like no other.

I know. I love Rogue but I admit I am kinda jealous that she got a very nice new look courteous of Acuna. Why can't they just let Dodson design Psylocke something?

So I've been playing MUA2 quite a bit today since I have the day off. After leveling Psylocke up a bit you have the chance to use her psychic knife, but after awhile of upgrading her psyknife it transforms into her psychic katana!

While I'm not very fond of the katana it looks so neat in the video game and adds a lot of damage to her basic attacks!

Psylocke is a great playable characters she's fast, has a great variety of powers (close and far ranging) and she deals decent amounts of damage. It's a shame she is only on the Wii/PS2.

Oh well I'm just glad they did a good job building her even though she wasn't for the main console games.

It's also fun to have her fight along a team of Captain America, Hulk, SpiderMan, feels like Capcom's Marvel Super Hero Game. That arcade game was genius.

Psylocke should be presented as she was when she was brought to the x-men: the most powerful female telepath. She did take out jean once upon a time.

Anyway, this is how I see liza:
1. Powerhouse telepath: mental bolts, communication, fry minds, psychic knife.
2. Medium-level telekenesis: back up her strength, levitate obbjects (but not herself), telekenetic katana.
3: with the focus-totality of her tp and her tk, we need to see the return of the psycho-blast!
4: ninja fighting skills.

I've been playing Marvel Alliance lately with a whole lot of mods included. I created a few teams with their own bonuses, too:

I like both teke and telepathy, just not together. It's too Jean/Ray/Nate/Cable.

I would say either high level teke or telepathy (I'd favor teke, more physical, plus it'd differentiate from Emma) and precog flashes. I like Betsy being psychically "closed", but it was never used well imo. Telepaths are generally too powerful in the X-verse, she'd have made a nice trump card for Scott strategically...

2). Occasional precognitive dreams/flashes.
3). Original high-level telepathy (butterfly effect, psycho-blast, psychic knife, etc.)
4). Combat telekinesis (used to augment strength and speed, create defensive shields, telekinetic katana/sword that cuts for real, levitation of small to medium objects.)

As for MUA2, I have only the PS 2 and the original XBOX so I really don't have a choice. :smile:

British Betsy was the best. A somewhat shady character who wanted to be appreciated for her tenacity but was always held back by the perceptions people had about her upbringing and background. I loved that she had less qualms about using her telepathy in nefarious( I don;t get to say that word oftern ^_^) ways. I loved that she wanted to be a warrior but her telepathy didn't really suit that "action junkie" persona she wanted to have.

Ditto, I really liked the character until the body switch, and I've never been interested in her since as she's a completely different personality and character at this point.

I'm glad she's using a real steel katana! It's been too long! Glad the TK katana is long gone and that it didn't have long staying power regardless of how much CC pushed for it to become a staple of Betsy's.

I hope she's in Nation X and Uncanny those months! It still feels very Emma centric, but I'm happy to see it's a Dodson month! I wonder if Land returns for the last three issues of Nation X. I hope not!

Honestly it really didn't seem like she was all that with her TK anyway. Afterall, she got taken out by an alternate Jean Grey that wasn't even Phoenix powered in New Excalibur. In New Exiles she got taken out by Ogun before she could blink before she got training from him. Then there's the whole thing with Slaymaster before and after his upgrade and her supposedly limitless TK barely helped her.

When she did perform high level feats she usually had help from either Rachel or an alternate Sue Storm anyway.

With her telepathy back, I don't want the TK as powerful. She doesn't need to be the next Phoenix/X-Man/Super Cable, etc.

On the other hand, this Justin needs all the strenght that he can get as he works 40 h/week and do school projects! How do you do it - what's the secret?

With the exception of Xavier who is THE most powerful telepath, I've noticed a really dumb trend over the decades that whatever hero has a mental/psychic/passive power gets it changed so it becomes a physically aggressive ability. Dani used to be able to only pull a person's worst fear out of their heads and manifest it as an image, then she suddenly has the power of psychic arrows?!? Then my other example is of course Betsy (who I won't lie I liked WAY more before when she was British and not "ninja-fied") who was primarily a telepath but also had some precognitive abilities, then changed into a killer ninja with her psychic "blades", gag me frankly. Seriously all it says is that writers are uncreative to have hero characters that ONLY have powers to punch things.

I guess that's a qualitative difference in our comic reading habits, I prefer characters with brain, you brawn (Babs-Batgirl=brain VS former ninja-batgirl Cass=brawn, similarly, primarily telepath-Betsy=brain VS ninja-blade Psylocke=brawn).

A lot of us thought it was pointless to bring her back that way when they could have just brought back asian Psylocke easier than switching her to her original British body (which some of us have been waiting for for years) only to have it destroyed a few issues later. And she wasn't even really in more than a few panels in the books that were promoted as "The Return of Psylocke".

Plus none of the X-men seemed to be characterized at all, and Land's art was really sloppy and repetitive down to the stances and hair that was just copy/pasted. Overall the arc was thoroughly FAIL.

I was but got over it. I just buy X-men whenever the need fancies me now. It's no t a MUST have like Green lantern.

But I was SO happy and thrilled to see the butterfly signature in the List! It was so pretty! I hope this isn't the last we see of it.

I thought it was really neat to have Betsy amplify Iceman's powers! I hope Psylocke is used like that more often.. I'm glad Fraction isn't just using her for her psychic knife. See Asian Psylocke can do a lot of things it just depends on the writer.

I thought she was written well in the latest Uncanny also.

I agree. I dont mind the form.. just the good characterization.

I still HATE the thongkini though.

Wow that is awesome! The artist is really detailed. I like the panel where she smashes that guys face into something. I love a Psylocke that is brutal, I don't think we have seen that before.

Well not only for the magnificent return of the butterfly signature, but for Davis' art alone. It's a pretty decent read IMO there are a few neat scenes in the book. But the biggest seller again for me was Alan Davis drawing the X-Men again, it was so clean and crisp and bright I loved every panel.

The only thing is it's very short and filled with an old generic back up story with Wolverine.

I was disappointed they tricked us like that. Oh well.

I don't think Tolibao's art is great enough for covers, enough to attract a reader to it anyway.

I like the Finch covers, they are pretty decent considering past work he's done. His X-Infernus covers were so gross.

That is crazy that I have been posting on this thread since the 200 pages on up. I love psylocke so much. She is the x-men for me. Congrats on 500.

Anyway, I am so glad carey is going to write her in necrosha. Reunited with rogue and gambit, and written win the next book. I hope she meets danger too.

I absolutely LOVE when Psylocke is in Siberia/Alaska/insert-other-snowy-region-here whilst wearing her thongkini (or, the thongkini + mini jacket).

Screw the destroying of mountains with TK, THIS is truly the greatest extent of her power!
