I wouldnt mind at all seeing her kill in the mini-series. I mean, she has killed before, so it wouldnt be new, and she has always had a bit of ruthless, 'do what is necessary' streak to her. I just dont want to see her killing wantonly if the situation doesnt call for it. I would like to see her killing more as a last resort, rather than say wolverine or elektra who wouldnt hesitate to kill a guard over a non-lethal method of eliminating them.

I always liked that about Betsy - after her transformation she has killed, but only in a fight, as a warrior. That's why she would be - despite all the fan calling for it - ill fitted on X-Force; she can't assassinate people, her warrior instincts wont allow it. There was a time that Wolverine would adhere to those instincts, but this days....

I like that idea because they are my two favorite X-Men, and Colossus does need to get over Kitty, but I'm not sure they would be good together. I feel like Colossus is too quiet and reserved. Betsy is much more outgoing and fun loving and needs someone who can keep up with her, like Warren or Kurt.

And their histories are neatly intertwined without them being too close previously, so it wouldn't feel incestuous (like Ray and Kurt did). Plus I think their personalities mesh especially well, I could just see it really working.

I never really liked Betsy's previous love interests either. Alex barely happened. Skanking after Scott sucked so bad they had to retcon it on Kwannon. The Warren pairing was completely superficial, and they seemed like each other's consolation prize. The less said about Neal, the better. Kurt would be TOTAL step up imo.

Then there comes the basis for their relationship. Aside from the obvious physical attraction they began to feel close to each other because they were both going through brainwashined identity crisis type ordeals(Warren and Pocy, Betts and Revanche) It was a nice little get together but when it was all peeled back what did they really have in common aside from some superficial traits? What was their reasoning for ever being together? What made them such a great couple?

Don't get me wrong they had some nice story moments but nothing that ever really made me say they are meant to be!!

And its not even cause I simply dislike Beast, but because it changes the dynamic of the team somewhat. In the beginnig it wa Beast sitting around his lab doing nerd stuff while the others occasionally quipped in. Now its like they are Betsy's personal team. Its somewhat reminiscent of Scott and X-Force. Calling the shots but never really has to do much. They research for her, build things, and she gets to smash stuff and poeple up on occasion. Its utterly magnificent.

Unfortunately not. After the preview, she doesn't show up again until the last page inside the X-sub with Dr. Nemesis, Kavita, and Madison. Psylocke looks like she's wearing a slightly different suit than in the beginning too. You can't see too much but it's zipped all the way up to her neck. Looks like there's some kind of breast cup type decor on her costume too or something.

As for Harvey's recent sketch, the only thing I can think of that's different about the eyes is that they're a bit too far apart, IMO. The eye on the right side of the page should be a little more to the left I think.

Good. I'm glad that Marvel finally decided to bring females back to the forefront. Emma is now established and embedded as the X-men's alpha female, Rogue has come back front and center, with Legacy focusing mainly on her. Now Psylocke is on her way to gaining a higher status.

I don't think that cover is supposed to be all one landscape. I think it's characters just pieced together on there w/out it supposed to realistically fit. (Magneto/Namor much larger, Emma overlapping Cyclops etc.,)

I think he was going for a stylized cover and it just came out a bit awkward. As if he cut out the pictures and glued them on randomly.

Ninja Psylocke didn't just BECOME a ninja via retcon transformation into an Asian woman.

In pre-Kwannon continuity, it's clearly stated in the Lady Mandarin trilogy (UXm 256-258, Claremont/Lee/Williams) that Betsy has undergone weeks/months of ninja training by the Hand, as well as psychic and sorcerous brainwashing transformation. Remember that Betsy's emergence from the Siege Perilous as depicted in 254/255 of Uncanny is not time synchronous with ongoing X-events at the time. The Perilous tossed the X-Men all over the place. By the time Jubilee and Wolverine make it to Hong Kong, it's been months since their escape from Austraila and Betsy's reappearance.

The Kwannon body switch thing was added by later writers, lord knows why. The original triolgy indicates that Betsy was psychically/magickally transformed into an Asian woman/warrior/ninja assassin. I suppose the body switch seemed a clever twist at the time, but it was really total nonsense that should never have been approved.

Yeah I hated the body switch retcon. If they wanted to introduced a Kwannon, they could have just made her the predecessor to Psylocke's Lady Mandarin role or something with shape shifting powers to look like British Betsy. What we got was nonsense.

As for the whole insta ninja thing it can still be said that she didnt become an intsant ninja due to the body swap. Regardless of the Body Swap Psylocke still would have been there for months and trained under the HAND physically. Even though he had there bodies switched Matsyuo still chose the body that looked most like his lover(even it was Betts inside) and trained her as his own. Hell even Kwannon had to retrain herself in the arts.

I don't know...Betsy in X-Force? This might sound crazy, concidering that they have X-23 and wolvie on that team; but now that Betsy is a full spectrum psi with Ogun-level fighting skills - I get the feeling that Betsy is too....deadly....to fit into this team of covert ops - she would function much better on single missions, like a female version of Ogun.

Maybe we will see some of this single mission thing with the new mini. :)
