You're missing Up, Up, and Away for Superman, that's for sure.

Missing Emerald Dawn for GL, missing Sinestro Corps for GL.

Also, I wouldn't call Hush essential by any stretch. It was great, but not essential.

I'd definitely agree with that. Both Emerald Dawn and Sinestro Corps are essential to the GL Mythos. I'd also add Emerald Twilight.

New Frontier is not only an essential Hal Jordan story, it's also and essential J'Onn J'Onzz story....and an essential JLA story.

Alan Moore's For The Man Who Has Everything and Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow are also essential Superman stories....as is All Star Superman and a Superman For All Seasons.
