Some of the panels were posted in the New Exiles #3 review thread, but this thread is where they should be..
Loving the art and the fighting scenes looked interesting. Especially the last panel where i got my avatar from :)

I hate this storyline. It's SOOOO boring. Bring back the dude who wrote Exiles before CC took over. The guy that did the World Tour arc.

Good art and dynamic fight scenes (I like the way they cover each other).

But something really irks me. I know that i should be used to see super heroes doing stupid thing because it looks cooler but it still upsets me that Psyclocke is fighting foes with a stupid katana while she could just blow them with her telekinesy.

You mean the guy who decided to quit the book and leave for DC comics under his own volition??

Logical thinking courtesy of CC.

But any CC-fan boy will tell you it's because Psylocke is an action junkie. either way, she needs to ditch the TK it doesn't benefit Psylocke or her teammates.

As a CC-fan boy, I believe she has done this due to her Ninja training--its just second nature. Its like women putting on make-up when they dont need any. Many women do it, but why???

not all women put on make-up, despite not needing it, while driving a vehicle though. Psylocke always rushing into melee combat and creating a katana out of her "mountai shattering" powers puts herself in a lot more danger and a disadvantage--where as if she kept back and use her ranged powers for a purpose other than creating psionic brawl weapons...she'd be at an advantage and less likely to get her butt handed to her--which seems to happen a lot when she's rushing headlong into battles. Action junkie? I can buy. Stupid/stubborn action junkie? No. It comes off less as her wanting some "action" and an adrenaline rush and more like her coming off like a moron than can't learn from past mistakes.

Psylocke believes she is unbeatable & her action junkie behavior puts her team in danger precisely because she does not think about it. She goes headlong into the action without a plan. Chris Claremont was building to something with Psylocke's ninja transformation. And this is one of those ideas. Despite Betsy's new abilities, she's still the same Betsy who makes mistakes...

Didn't she turn herself invisible in a recent issue? Like an assassin, silent, observe and strike when necessary?

Or, perhaps Psylocke should focus her telekinesis to realter her DNA and make her more beastial in battle ala Dino-Rachel. We can call her Sabrlocke!

So his work left such a deep impression on you that you don't even know his name. That guy was Tony Bedard, and he's a DC exclusive now. I think he fits better over there personally.

I'm just a Psylocke fanboy. I have this unconditional love for her. I'd buy everyhing she's in. Began to like her when she's already a ninja. So I don't have a problem her being an action junkie. I read some of her early appearances (british-telepath) and love them as well.
But yes.. I'd love to see other writers use Psylocke in their books. But not as wallpaper though..
Currently Loving Grummet's drawing on Miss Betsy.

Well, if she could have been pried from CC's grubby mitts, she'd be in Uncanny right now.

Chris Claremont and Alan Davis if I'm not mistaken waaaay back in the original Captain Britain series.

But it was Alan Moore who really fleshed her out and gave her, her own personality. (he even gave her, her well-known for purple hair when she was a super model!) ;)

I like the "action junkie" explanation. I hope it will be developped. Like Creed blaming her or Betsy blaming herself for not using her full power.

This said, it's in perfect contradiction with her ninja training. Ninja are supposed to be effective and use the weapons and the abilities which would give them the win.

It was Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe (artist) who created Betsy as a blonde sister of Brian Braddock in Captain Britain #8 back in December 1976 .

Betsy was first referenced to be a model by Jim Lawrence & L. Lieber in Super Spider-Man & Captain Britain #243 in October 1977

Betsy was seen first for having puple hair & a fashion model in The Daredevils #3 by Alan Moore & Alan Davis (CMIIW, back in 1982)

Gosh.. i sounded like DDM :)

Alan Davis wrote the final two issues of Captain Britain #13-14; in Captain Britain #13, Betsy becomes Captain Britain who is trained by Captain UK:

Betsy is almost killed by Slaymaster when he gouges out her eyes in the heat of battle. Brian hears Betsy's telepathic scream & races to her rescue. He kills Slaymaster by throwing a boulder on his head.

Chris Claremont uses this story for The New Mutants Annual #2 when Mojo gives Betsy bionic eyes; she is unaware that they are cameras projecting everything she sees, feels, & thinks back to Mojoworld as movies. He uses these same cameras as a link to transform Betsy into a ninja in Uncanny X-Men #256. Mojo & Spiral is responsible for giving Betsy her new code-name Psylocke in The New Mutants Annual #2. Betsy eerily keeps the name...

thanks for reminding me of EVERY SINGLE REASON that i love Psylocke. too bad all of those reasons contrast 100% with the reasons i ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to read New Exiles.

It's a shame this comic can't provide me with laughs on a weekly basis.

Marvel,

Please give CC another comic. I can't hold my breath three weeks out of four!
