I heard about a story once where The Martian Manhunter used his shapeshfting powers to give himself krytonian DNA and took on Superman's powers. The ability was eventually stolen from him by Gold K. What I would like to know, is how powerful was the combined Martian/Krytonian form?

Thanks,

Jon

I think manhunter was based off Supes and in an old old account of mine, legionair I posted Supes vs Manhunter and the result was, as the winner, Superman just because he was more well known but conbined--
It would probally just give him the abilities of Superman, shipshaping and still the fear of fire, I dont know if I realy answered you. ;)

I think Martian Manhunter's more likely inspired by John Carter from A Princess of Mars. Randomly teleported to an alien planet and trying to understand it and blend in. Except while John Carter manages to blend into Mars' culture almost seamlessly, J'onn J'onnz never really seems to fit in, ever. His powers and later superheroic appearances reflect Superman more, of course, but the nature of his character is more akin to John Carter of Mars or Adam Strange.
