Aside from FABLES, I'll be picking up every book.
Really looking forward to Jason Aaron on HELLBLAZER, and how things will be handled with MADAME XANADU.

Is Jason Aaron taking over Hellblazer or is he just filling in for a short time for Andy Diggle? And yup, Madame Xanadu looks very promising indeed.

Really looking forward to Jason Aaron's fill-in Hellblazer story. I'm excited for every issue anyway, but Aaron's two issues of Wolverine so far have been excellent and his Ghost Rider run got off to a very, very good start. And Scalped too, of course. Any story that explores Constantine's punk background is fine by me, especially in the interesting-sounding way it's being done.
I have to echo the Madame Xandau anticipation. I saw some wonderful preview art for it a while back and it's been on my radar ever since.

An American writing Hellblazer, especially 70's British punk? OH NO :(
But it's Jason Aaron, who has yet to put a foot wrong (everybody needs to read The Other Side, his 'Nam Vertigo mini - its better than any 'Nam film)! OH YES :D
Not a big fantasy/magic fan or of DC characters being 'Vertigoized' but hey, MATT WAGNER, need I say more?

Always loved Madame Xanadu. Have that old "first issue" that turned into a one-shot when Engelhart and Rogers took the plots to their own "Scorpio Rose" series.
And Wagner is usually great at writing female characters. Definitely gonna get this.
It has the potential to be a rare hit for Vertigo.

Madame Xanadu looks like it'll be cool and I'm definately picking up the first few issues of House of Mystery.
Jason Aaron on Hellblazer straight after Diggle will be interesting. I've enjoyed the Diggle stuff thus far as he's totally got Constantine right. Loving Scalped though so I wouldn't be surprised if Aaron worked wonders.
The first Vinyl Undergound arc is listed as being traded that month. Is it worth getting?

I dont have an idea who Madame Xanadu is and what her history is in Vertigo or somewhere else but i will pick it up cause of Wagner the creator of Sandman Mystery Theather,Batman and Monster Men(not cause of his Trinity like the link says)
Its a shame Wagner doesnt draw it, i like his art.
Will be interesting to see what the hyped Aaron can do with interesting period of Constantine's life.

SWEEEEEEET!
First issue of Madame Xanadu
I'm also getting my typical pick-ups: Scalped, Northlanders, Vinyl Underground, House of Mystery and Young Liars. Might pick up DMZ vol. 5

Madame Xanadu sounds great. The first issue will be dropping around the same time that Young Liars' probationary period is over, so I might be dropping that title to make room for MX.

Madame Xandu originated in one of DC's later Horror titles, Doorway to Nightmare:

From which she graduated to her own series by Steve Englehart and Marshall Rogers:

...which lasted, ahem, one issue. But fret not, Englehart and Rogers took their plots to an independent publisher for a 3 issue mini series, slightly changed the character's look and name to Scorpio Rose:

... a 3 issue mini which, ahem, lasted 2 and ended on a cliff hanger. Pretty pictures, though, and a special appearance of the Celestial Madonna, whom Englehart had introduced in JLA and taken to the Avengers as Mantis. He liked taking his enigmatic female characters from publisher to publisher, it seems.
Meanwhile, DC kept using Madame Xanadu as a supporting character in the 80s Spectre series and had her occasionally team up with the likes of Superman.

She is not to be confused with Charity, who was also the host of a DC Horror book, also a tarot card wielding fortune teller and had a supporting role in Robinson's Starman.

The characters were too uber-hipster for my tastes. Plus, I couldn't remember a damn thing about the issues I read, eminently forgettable.

I've been waiting for MADAME XANADU since it was annouced. I've been interested in her since I read the Day of Vengenace one-shot. Looking forward to it.

Yeah I'd agree with that too. I wanted to like the book, given the solicitation's comparisons to The Invisibles, but it just wasn't happening. I give it two years til cancellation, tops.

but Aaron's two issues of Wolverine so far have been excellent
He's written three and if you missed the first one, The Pit and the Gattling Gun, a few months back then you missed the best one.
I didn't know he was writing Ghost Rider. What issue did he start on?

Has he now? I jumped on with the Get Mystique arc so I'll definitely have to check that out.
His Ghost Rider run started with issue 20, and as 21 came out this week you haven't got much to catch up with!

Thanks! I'm not a Ghost Rider fan, but picked up both those issues and loved 'em.
Do yourself a favor and track down that Wolverine issue. It's one of the best done in one stories in comics from last year.

Had Loveless been cancel?
Nope. It's just on one heckuva schedule. I don't think the book is even bi-monthly.
The funny thing is that Azz has said he wants the book to go 60 issues. AT THIS RATE?

How long is Wagner on MADAME XANADU? I thought I read someplace he's only doing the first arc.
