A cute and fun story.
This was basically an adaptation of Peter Pan using the Avengers characters and it was really well done. Captain America plays the part of Peter Pan with Wasp as Tinker belle. Wanda plays the part of Wendy and Quicksilver is her brother (who's name escapes me). Cap, Black Panther, Iron Man, Hawkeye and Thor are the Lost Boys while Klaw plays Captain Hook.
I didn't really expect Cap to be in Peter Pan's role but it does make sense further into the story. He also has a, shall I say "interesting" substitute for his shield which also works well in this tale. If you've seen or read about Peter Pan in the past you pretty much know how this plays out. Joao Lemos and Christina Strain do a fantastic job by making it seem very story bookish and colorful, all the characters just have an endearing look and the locales are lush and full of character.
Highly enjoyable and worth a look 8.5/10

I loved the art and thought the story was light and fun, as it should be for a fairy tale. The only thing I would've liked was more Pietro face time, but that's a minor thing considering he's not supposed to be the focus (although, I think he literally just disappeared at the end; I didn't see him at all in that last panel flying away w/ the Lost Boys).

When I was young, my grandma would read us Grimms fairy tales when we went to bed. CREEPY!!!
If it's anything like Spider-Man Fairy Tales it'll be baaaad news, but i hope i am wrong.

Loved it.
The spin on the Avengers as the Lost Boys was the best part; their costumes were hilarious!

Thanks for the review.
My local comic book shop skipped this one, and so, I didn't have an opportunity to size it up, let alone buy a copy.
But, I will seek it out now.
Is this a worthy successor to the Avengers Classic series?

I've actually never read the Avengers Classic series (perhaps I did and I haven't noticed) to determine whether it's a worthy successor but it's certainly a nice take on a classic roster of Avengers.

They were stories from a different time and a different situation. An age when wakes were still held in people's houses, a public hanging was considered good, family entertainment and it was considered okay to scare your children into behaving. :D :p
"Fairy Tales" started to become sugared around the Victorian era. And considering how Peter Pan (and all the other stories used in this mini for that matter) isn't so much a traditional fairy tale as much as a Victorian children's story, it works pretty well for this material.
Anyway, it was a good read. Loved the artwork.

Issue two is by Nuno Plati and issue four is by Ricardo Tercio, both also Portuguese artists.
Joao Lemos is now back to work on SHIKI for Image Comics.
Glad you all liked the issue! Thanks for much for buying and reading. Your support means a lot!
Take care,
C.B.

I was on the fence until I went into a local shop and glanced at an issue. Good stuff. Will be adding it to my pull.

I really liked this. Especially Iron Man's costume. Kind of disappointed that its only a 4 issue series, but I guess that kind of holds the value.
I think Quicksilver was a representation of Peter.
