Here's the concept:
Write a three page script utilizing some character, team, or plot device decided upon by the winner of the previous Sequential Art Challenge. Writers will have approximately two weeks to post their scripts in this thread. At the conclusion of the submission period we will hold a brief vote to decide which script will be used in the Sequential Art Challenge.
The third theme, suggested by KWW, winner of Sequential Art Challenge #2, is "Batman & Catwoman". How that's interpreted is entirely up to you.
Using the winning script, artists will submit their sequentials and, after a couple weeks, they'll be voted on as well.
There are no rules other than following the theme and meeting the deadline. There are no prizes, so those of you just wanting to have fun shouldn't be discouraged from participating, even if you are unsure of your talent.
For this round, scripts will be Due on Sunday, March 30 by Midnight EST.
Have fun!
I was going to suggest Batman and Catwoman locked in a bathroom, but I thought that might lead to some really strange scripts.:D :D :D

Page 1
Catwoman is leaping in front of Gotham's night sky. She looks peaceful, gorgeous.
She stops on the rooftop of a 2 story building. She looks down into the alley.
Batman is fighting a small group of common thugs. An old woman is laying on the
ground, the contents of her purse strewn all over the ground. Catwoman smirks at the scene.
Page 2
Batman easily beats the snot out of the muggers. Catwoman descends into the alley. She helps
the lady to her feet. The lady looks Catwoman in the eye and speaks,
" Why you... you.......FLOOZY!"
She slaps Catwoman in the face. Catwoman is astonished and a bit angry. The old woman stands her ground. Batman approaches. The woman shouts,
"...and YOU! You're a MONSTER!"
Page 3
Police cars arrive. A handsome young officer tends to the lady while others begin cuffing the hoods. He tells her that he'll take her home.
"Aren't you a nice young man!" She gushes.
"Not like these GARGOYLES!"
Batman speaks to Catwoman,
"Are you alright?"
She sighs,
"I'm fine. I haven't been called a floozy since.... ever, I think. How 'bout you?"
Batman:
"Oh, I was called a gargoyle just this morning... and a monster at least twice this week. Comes with the territory."
Catwoman:
"Hmph! There are times when I'm not sure I want to stay in this territory."

Taken from my very own, Gotham: New Hope a.k.a Legends of Gotham: Threat Begins, first draft, this is technically about two pages, four when spaced properly, 2,000 words or so give or take, if you need more I included the second chapter of the story, in another post, as doing both in this post exceeded character limit. Oh I understand its not in script format, I'll take point deductions, I really am not very well versed in script writing, I am learning but its still a foreign thing to me.
The cool crisp air from the early morning crept in. Walking the streets of Jersey isn’t an easy thing, any person of care could tell you that. Her hands kept in her front coat pocket, a scarf hiding her mouth, as she bundled within her coat running toward the side door of the apartment building.
She took hold of the scarf folding it over her left arm, as she reached for her keys. Heading to the elevator she nodded to the door men, and the receptionist. Walking into the elevator a slight overview from the top right of the elevator, one could notice the trace of blood on her shoulder blade that reached out into her neck.
The elevator doors came open, she walked out heading toward the far end of the hallway to find the door already open. Suspicious, she carefully walked in, to find her mother on the couch. “Everything alright?” She asked, her Mother looked at her and nodded.
“Yeah, just got a call from a friend in Gotham, you got the job.” The smile came across both mother and daughter’s face. They hugged, and wept for so long both had worked for this, the daughter had gone to great strives dropping out of Harvard, getting into Princeton, all for a law degree in the criminal law.
The friend no doubt, Mr. Bruce Wayne, he’s always been like a father to Helena Kyle, Sunday dinners, holiday get-togethers, funding a large college trust fund. The mother and daughter began to pack, Selina noticed the large bloodline, “Helena!”
“What?” She spun on her heels wondering if something or someone had startled her mother.
Selina tore the slight bit of clothing that covered, or rather now stuck to the open wound. Helena cringed, “that Helena.”
“Nothing Mom, just got caught on something at work.” She lied, and Selina could see it, she had the sneaky suspicions that her daughter had been out in the night being a vigilante, reports of a, “slayer.” Had been on going in the news lately, Helena lowered her head, and sighed softly, “just…”
“Helena, thats not the kind of life I want for you!” Selina in a bit of outrage, “.. I’ve worked so… so, hard.”
“I know.” She stated feeling guilt, coming to her mother, “… its just… I don’t know what it is, I…”
“Like your Father,” she mumbled under her breath, the subject wasn’t talked about until they reached Gotham. As far as Helena knew, her Dad as a Bradley a proud detective with the Gotham Police, he died before she was even two years old.
Unfortunately that was far from the truth, as Selina and Bruce knew, as their eyes met off that plane. She at first lied to Bruce, but after he had helped her and the baby Helena escape the horrors of her life in Gotham…, “Bruce there’s something you should know.”
He had carefully looked at her, the costume he wore portraying himself as some mass murder on the surface moments before, “what is it? Anything I can do?”
“Bruce… I can’t lie to you anymore,” she softly stated, before whispering in his ear, “she’s your daughter.”
He held a smile but his head low, eyes sad, his lips trembled as he gave his daughter a kiss on the cheek, “… I love you, Helena. Selina.”
“I know.”
In the twenty years since, he’s come on some occasions as Bruce Wayne, and others as the Dark Knight himself. He greeted them as they stepped off the plane, beside him stood his prodigal son, Richard ‘Dick’ Grayson, “Dick.” Selina smiled, giving him a hug before she turned to Bruce, and together they embraced each other.
Helena was a striking beauty, deep ice blue eyes, dark hair, fair skin she tanned with ease, her long hair balanced around her shoulders tipping over just a bit. It was a cold winter day when they came to Gotham City, a city of such darkness… Ice and snow on the ground, as they walked toward Alfred, who held open the limo doors.
Bruce stared at Helena a bit as she held her gaze to the skyline of Gotham City, “you know, Helena, the D.A. is very pleased to have you on his staff.”
She turned politely to him, “really? Wow, guess you wouldn’t have had anything to do with that would you Mr. Wayne?”
“Course not,” the sheepish grin slid across face as they all smiled. The police radio went off, but was quickly silenced.
“Alfred if you could let me down,” Dick asked, the limo stopped almost suddenly to Helena, as Dick got out dashing off into the alley ways. Helena didn’t question it as her eyes followed Dick’s shadow
As they approached Wayne Manor, Helena had forgotten to her beauty, the majesty it held. “We’re definitely not in Jersey anymore Toto,” she said matter-of-factly, as Selina smiled slightly, having been to the Manor many times herself. Bruce nodded as they got out of the stretch limo.
Meanwhile, on the rooftops of Gotham City. “Get back Jester!” Batman shouted, as he looked at the mass murdering son of the Joker himself.
“Hehehehehehehe!” He cackled, “oh look at the big black BAT!” The Jester walked with his staff atop of the munitions factory, “I’m so scared!”
“YOU SHOULD BE!” Swung in Nightwing, it was times like this that Dick was grateful that Tim Drake was Nightwing, and not Jason Todd, Batman threw down the grenade a large flash was seen, the clowns were disoriented. Batman and Nightwing jumped down through the skylight and Jester was already making a break for it.
The two caped crusaders made a break, to stop him fighting henchmen along the way, the classic battles that never cease to exist.
Back at the Manor, Helena began a curious inspection, Bruce watched her carefully. Catching sight of the would-be scar, he turned his eyes to Selina who mouthed, “just like you.” To him, he wanted to smile inwardly, but a vigilante’s life was no place for his daughter, so he felt.
“So Helena, care for-” He was going to say as Alfred cut him off…
“Miss Helena, would you care for a tour of the manor?”
“Yes, thank you Alfred.”
Carefully, Selina pulled Bruce to the side, “she’s been showing more signs.”
“Meta human?” He asked softly as they sat in the study away from the main foyer.
She nodded, “yes, I was wondering.”
“If Barbara could help?” He took the words right out of her mouth.
“Yeah, she still in Metropolis?” Selina hadn’t kept tabs on the brat, as she use to call Barbara.
Bruce shook his head, “I have no clue, and Dinah’s been out in Tacoma with her family so no one’s really been aware of Barbara’s where abouts…”
Back at the battle, Batman pressed the side of his temple to open communications, “Oracle its Batman, I need a way out of here.”
“Hold on to your cape, boy wonder.” Oracle replied on the other side…

“Oracle!” Nightwing shouted as he and Batman hid behind a few crates.
She pushed her lips down to the other side staring at the screen, she watched a few moments, “okay giving you a smoke screen get out of there, now.”
They took their cue, and left as Gotham Police Department surrounded the place, a few minutes later, Nightwing looked back as he took off his mask looking at Dick, “don’t tell me he got away again.” He threw his mask down, as he looked over.
“Probably we won’t know till later tonight,” Dick said to Tim as the ‘bat’ mobile traveled the unknown parts of Gotham vicious, with each bump. Tim sighed heavily he hated Jester, and that entire family… they’ve been a pain in his ass since he was in his junior super hero days.
“I’m just tired of it.” He said in exasperation, Dick nodded in agreement.
“I know,” The older said to the younger, as they sped away, as they watched Jester get away from the crime scene, on their GPS radar. He relaxed his shoulders, rolling them back, “well anyway, Helena’s at the house.”
“Bertinelli?”
“Nope, Kyle.” Dick stated, as they turned down toward the cavern, the waterfall pouring with its same thunderous sound.
In the Manor, Helena was in awe of the Manor as Alfred asked if she’d like a tour, “yeah that’d be great.”
“Right this way, Miss Helena.”
Selina sat beside Bruce in front of the fire place, “hmmm, its been so long.” She said leaning her head on his shoulder, he automatically placed his arm around her waist his head resting on top of hers.
“I know,” he replied as they sat sideways on the couch now, looking at each other, “… I’ve missed you.” Their lips met with a passion, of two lost lovers, she didn’t want it to stop but she knew the appearance of this would send a ripple through Helena’s soul. Pulling apart they sat staring at the glowing embers from the fire.
Helena was occupied by Alfred, who spoke of the Manor and its long history and its many renovations. Her eyes came over the shadows, the paintings, the patterns on the walls. Her lips pursed together as she turned on her heels, “Alfred.”
“Yes Miss Helena?”
“What do you know about,…. Batman?” She asked him her hands behind her back, “people say he’s a mad man, the police aren’t all that friendly with him.”
Alfred chuckled, “my dear Miss Helena, I just know that the man is nothing more than a crazed vigilante.”
“I don’t know…” she bit the bottom of her lip, “it’s nothing.” But she lied, it was more than nothing, for as long as she could remember stories of Batman have been told to her by her Mom, as bedtime stories… heh, weird but Helena couldn’t sleep without hearing them his exciting adventures, saving Gotham and sometimes the world when he was with the Justice League, and sometimes; she swore she saw him tucking her into bed at night or bringing her water, course her Mom told her they were dreams. Helena thought otherwise…
Alfred raised a brow, he knew his answer wasn’t the best, but even so he kept her at her paces, “come along Miss Helena, we have much to see.”
Down in the Batcave, Tim and Dick tossed their gear into their respective places. “So Helena Kyle’s here?” Tim asked Dick, “how long as it been?”
“Twenty years if not more,” Dick answered as he headed toward the stairs, “why?”
“Just asking, … Man, that long?”
Dick laughed slightly, “yeah, c’mon Bruce and Selina are upstairs.”
Selina and Bruce continued to sit by the fire until, the sound of feet coming toward them they turned spotted Tim and Dick, Selina got up, “Richard, Tim.” She gave them both a hug, they returned her hug.
“Selina, its been a long time.” Dick stated as they stood walking toward the kitchen, she nodded.
“It has…” Tim was silent, Dick didn’t have much to say he really hadn’t talked to Selina all that much, and he really didn’t know Helena… he knew of her, but he didn’t really know her.
Bruce cleared his throat, as Helena came toward them from the gardens, “Mom, have you seen the gardens?”
“Not in a long time,” she admitted, before her daughter ushered her out to see them.
It was a relief, both Tim and Dick waited for, “what is she doing here?” Tim asked a little rudely, Dick just stood there not adding or objecting.
“Helena got the job, working for the D.A.” Bruce answered them both, “besides it might do her some good, get her out of that … habit of hers.”
“What habit?” Dick asked heading toward the small icebox, “the only habit I see is Selina coming back for something that she wants.”
Tim could sense the venom, and stepped in, “he has a point Bruce.”
“Selina is here on behalf of Helena, she’s showing signs of being a meta human.” Standing, he looked at Richard, “besides I could say the same about you, Richard.”
Walking outside, Tim and Dick sat in the small kitchen wondering what was coming over them. While so, Bruce was watching as Helena and Selina admired the flowers, “they are so beautiful Bruce.”
“Thanks, but its Dinah’s doing, well her and some of the girls that come through here.” He told Selina, who curiously looked at him.
“I thought you said that, she was in Tacoma.”
“She was, is.” He paused a moment, “sorry, she was here a year ago, for uh.. chemotherapy.” He could see Selina’s face, he sighed to himself.
Selina’s heart about dropped, “she didn’t say anything last time we talked, I mean I know we’re not the best of friends…”
“She’s been keeping it private,” Bruce told her, “besides last I heard she was doing fine, hell she’s uh, she’s moving back here later this month, or so thats what Dolly told me.”
Helena stood there a moment, looking, watching, observing something about Bruce seemed familiar and it was more than just that she knew him, there was something more, and she couldn’t quite place her finger on it.
Somewhere in Metropolis, the Dalton Towers. Barbara Ann Gordon, also known as the Oracle concentrated on her database, Delphi an extensive database on meta humans, and meta human activities. Her satellites, or rather stolen ones operated with GPS and other capabilities, as she watched the world. She wheeled away from the deck, where Delphi and her sister systems sat, wheeling down the deck via the ramp, too the main floor. The platform guiding her to the doors, that revealed her elaborate bedroom, that flowed into the lush downtown apartment.
She had just gotten to the living room when her daughter walked in, “hey Mom.”
“JJ,” she smiled giving her daughter a kiss on the cheek, “how was work?”
Jennifer Jaycen Bard, the forensic nerd, computer wizard, wanna be-cop just shook her light reddish/brown hair, “****.”
“There’s an adjective,” Barbara retorted, as she checked her laptop, while in reality she was merely accessing Delphi from a remote location.
“Yeah well, when your dip **** boss, can’t seem to make up his mind on whether or not he wants to use fiber optics, or not or whether or not he wants to rearrange the entire network.” She called out from the kitchen as she opened the fridge, “my God don’t you have any food?”
“Don’t you have your own apartment?” Babs turned, with a sarcastic smile on her face, as JJ rolled her eyes.
“Funny, anyway oh guess what?”
“What…” As if Babs wasn’t already irritated by a failing wireless connection.
Jay walked back from the kitchen to the living room with a bottle of Pepsi in her hand, “I heard that the Gotham D.A., has a new assistant.”
“Uh huh, some kid from Princeton.”
“Not just any kid, Helena Kyle.”
Babs nearly dropped her laptop, “what!”
Within moments, Babs disappeared well not literally, more or less made an excuse and went to her room. JJ, confused a bit by this thinking her Mom had already known. Walking in her Mom was no where to be found, looking around she shrugged her shoulders sitting on her Mom’s bed still drinking her Pepsi until she accidentally spilled it on the carpet. “Crap,” Jaycen stated setting the can on her Mom’s nightstand walking into the bathroom she grabbed a towel, heading to clean up the mess, she noticed something on the nightstand. Setting the towel on the bed, she cautiously walked toward the nightstand. Her reflection on the picture frame, of her Mom, Ted Kord, and her little brothers Brian and TJ. Shrugging her shoulders, she took the towel and began cleaning, until something under the bed caught her attention… one of the bed’s legs had a small cut in it, usually it’d be nothing if it wasn’t starring her in the damn face.
Suspicious as to why it was there, she placed her hand there, feeling for as to how deep this cut was… but it was circular, gently pressing it she watched as the wall behind her opened up onto a platform…

Ok, try to picture your stories as a comic book. For simplicty's sake, imagine a 6 panel grid per page. Then when you've written your manuscript in story form, like you posted above, try to "see" how much of it would fit into each of those panels.
Each panel is like an important "beat" of a movie, and you as author choose which of everything that happens during a scene is really important enough to put to paper in order to move the story forward at the right pace.
For example:
1st panel: A woman in a coat is running, her hands in her coat pockets, towards the side door of an apartment building.
2nd panel: She takes out her key as she walks past the receptionist and doormen, noticing/nodding to them.
And so on.
Sometime, if you collaborate with an artist you could let them choose what they think is the best panels to show a story, but in any case, you need to think at least about how much fits a page, or a set number of pages.
Description can be as detailed as you want to/need to in order to convey the right feeling and looks of environments and characters to the artist.
I hope that helps. :)

Well explained Dan... It's like a partnership. The balance of creativity is different in some stories than others. If scriptwriters give us artists too little, then we either do a poor job interpreting what the writer wants, or we go nuts with whatever we want to do and the writer loses control and so the story suffers (while the art might be sailing). Sometimes it works out and the artist takes up the slack correctly, but usually not so much.
Then when the reverse happens, the scripter goes nuts with mountains of prose it leaves no room for the art. Images alone can tell volumes of story- just look at the tons of silent stuff out there. (I'm struggling to name even one now... hmmm.... Bone? But they resort to dialogue often. I keep thinking of those great old Felix the Cat cartoons. Can anybody help me name some good dialogue-free stuff?). This is generally ok when the art is crap or stock stuff (Like the strip Red Meat or even South PArk) but the writer has to want to achieve this radio-play like effect and spell it out to the artist who generally just wants to draw something easy and fun or whatever that artist is into drawing.

Thank you! I'm an artist/writer, so I can't help but make space for some good character visuals; Catwoman at night across the Gotham skyline, Batman whomping on some thugs. I actually don't know these characters that well, so I tried to use "historical" traits.

Again I'm not much of a writer, but I had this story in my head. Very much influenced by Batman:TAS and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, its a bit of a reworking of their first meeting.
Cat and Flying Mouse
Page 1
Batman looking through the binoculars for his nightly patrol, sees a woman in a cat costume breaking in creatively through a very expensive jewelry store.
He watches her quickly gather all of the jewelry, Batman paces his move, waits until she heads outside, throws a batarang which scathes her shoulder making the “Catwoman” hiss in brief pain.
Page 2
A battle ensues in the streets, as Catwoman surprises Batman with her agility and elusiveness, dodging punches and kicks all this while balancing her purse full of jewelry. As she finds the quickest exit route, Batman ties her legs with a batarang tripping her in the process. As he is about to attreive her she flips over Batman as her and her purse is no where to be found.
Page 3
Bruce Wayne is at a glitzy charity benefit, a bit bored. He tries to scan through the crowd, as he sees a glamorous woman, dressed ravishly with jewelry and with a classic black dress.
Bruce approaches her, “May I have this dance?”
She snobbily turns her head the other way.
He stealthfully takes her hand and moves in front of her, and cleverly replies “I didn't hear you say no, Miss..?”
She answers “Kyle, Selina Kyle, are you usually this determined?”
He replies, “Only when I'm in pursuit.”
As he spins her during the dance, he notices a scar on her shoulder, as they spin back, she dissappears, leaving Bruce alone, and curious with a bit of a smirk.

Page 1:
Caption: Fear needs us to survive...
Panel 1: Large body shot of the Batman comming directly at the reader. He is over the skyline of Gotham city he has a bat-rope firmly grasped in his left hand between his legs and his right arm and his legs extended toward the reader (where the soles of his boots are shown). This shot clearly demonstartes that he is moving with stealth and alarm. (Artists go nuts with this for it can almost be a splash page, so really flex your artistic muscle of your own choosing)
Panel 2: Head shot of Catwoman's profile with fresh scratch marks dribbling crimson from her cheek (and for reference her costume is the one from the film Batman Returns) Her eye has a wild open look and she is drolling down her jaw, her head is drooping slightly toward a nasty floor where she has clearly been nauseous. Somewhere on her person or on the floor a communicator needs to be seen
Catwoman 9radio transmission): Bruce, please hurry, I need you...
Panel 3: Back shot of the pose of The Batman on his Bat rope, heading away from the reader and heading toward a large bay window located under a sign that says WAYNE CHEMICALS & IMPORTS
Caption: Fear makes her need me.
Page 2:
Caption: The Board of Wayne Enterprises decided to close this facilities months ago, because...they no longer need it
Panel 1: Panoramic view of Bats streaking through the building where there are street lights peaking through the many windows and low glows of lights from ceiling lamps. The artist is encouraged to spot the scene of any debris found in any abandoned chemical plants USA. (If the artist feels like it, draw here what I call an "easter egg" and that is a small artifact that clearly conveys Ancient Egypt)
Panel 2: Head shot Of Batman fastening a gas mask across his mouth and he is obviously adjusting an ear piece in his cowl.
Radio transmission from his cowl: Bruce, the fear....
Panel 3: Only in freakin Batman fashion he has kicked open the door, and entered where his goal is.
Panel 4: He moves and twists trying to avoid the onslaught of thin razor shards of "Question (?) marks, suddenly greet his entrance. Some find their mark some are embeded into the wall behind him.
Panel 5: An over head view of The Batman standing over Catwoman who is laying on a bright-lit bathroom floor in the fetal position. She clearly shows signs of the worst end of a beat down. Her hair is protruding in wisps from her head gear and the Door Batman kicked ajar has a "Men's" sign on it.
Caption: Fear...I need it to make me work faster.
Page 3
Panel 1: Batman has Catwoman's head cradled in his arm as he administers the Fear Gas Antidote.
Batman: If you really needed me Catwoman, you could have chosen a better place than a locked bathroom.
Panel 2: Same as Panel one, but she is half grinning now and wiping the side of her dirty face
Catwoman (weakly): You always come when I need you most, but someone else needed you here more....
Panel 3: Over head shot of Batman still holding Catwoman he is almost looking up at the reader who is staring back like a ceiling light, but the power has been cut and shadows and low hues of lights bounce around the restroom.
Panel 4: Full shot of Batman carrying Catwoman out of the restroom in his arms away from the reader.
Batman: ....And I intend to find out who has this sick need, and make no mistake, it's not a riddle, but a who? But for now, you need me.
A hand is appearing to retrieve a ?-Mark shirken dripping with our heroes' blood from the dirty floor. His hand is well manicured and his arm is banded in gold from his fore-arm to his wrist.
Panel 5: Ok, this will be hard, but I have faith in you. A manical looking King-Tut is holding the shirken with the fresh blood flowing onto his hand. The challenge is: make one of the lamest villians in Batman Folk-lore (as voted by in a poll on the net) look absolutlely crazy, scary, perverted, nutty...Liefieldian (I don't care...hehehe just scare people!)
King Tut: I don't need you Bats!
King Tut: I just need what makes you you.
Rare Photo Of King Tut (http://us.imdb.com/media/rm4251817984/nm0120658)
The plot:These 3 pages of script represent a rising of The Batman's lamest villians comming together to thwart the caped crusader. This lame group have also employed the underlings of his pinacle villians and they not only give their labor for the group's cause but also knowledge. All said, they are tired of the constant defeat by The Detective but also the beatings and abuse by those in villianous power. The question is...Did they come together on their own accord or did an unknown manipulate them like puppets and declare a war that threatens ALL of Gotham City....so it begins

Hey, nice script. It really kept me guessing what was going on. I like your challenge of making lame-ass Tut menacing. Also, combining elements from prominant Bat-villians in the script really added to the mystery. chemical plant=Joker.. ? shurikens= Riddler... fear gas = scarecrow. Plus Bruce cleaning up after the Wayne business is a nice touch and good setting for villainy.

My submission:
Cat’s Crib
PAGE ONE
(OK sue me – I love Splash pages) The scene is a dark and dimly lit room, very spare, sort of like a storage unit. Batman’s arms are bound to ropes that come down from the ceiling, his legs chained to the floor. He should have a furious look on his face.
Catwoman is grinning before him, clutching her whip.
CATWOMAN: “There! Thanks to my Cat-Nip knockout gas, you’re now helpless under my power!”
PAGE TWO
Panel 1: Closeup of Batman’s face, sideways shot – and Catwoman’s index finger and long sharp nail are directly under his chin.
CATWOMAN: “And soon, my purrr-fectly helpless Dark Knight, you’ll reveal to me the Wayne Foundation’s secret bank account codes!”
BATMAN: “NEVER.”
Panel 2: Catwoman lashes her whip at Batman, and the part of his costume that covers his torso and arms is ripped off.
CATWOMAN: “That’s fine – I’m certain the Injustice Society will double whatever is in the Wayne Foundation’s coffers for your head!”
Panel 3: Catwoman lashes at Batman’s left leg, ripping the costume and leaving it bare.
BATMAN: “I’ll find a way out of your trap.”
Panel 4: Catwoman lashes at his right leg, same effect. Batman is now only dressed in cowl, cape, utility belt, briefs and boots.
PAGE THREE
Panel 1: A door to the room is seen slowly creaking open. Dialogue from Batman and Catwoman will be off-panel (you will see word balloons but not the actual characters).
BATMAN: “We’ll see if you keep boasting once I have you in my Bat-Cuffs.”
CATWOMAN: “Mrrrow. I’d better remove your utility belt, then…”
Panel 2: We see a dark-haired nine year old girl poking her head through the door with a curious expression on her face.
GIRL: “Mommy? Daddy? I heard noises…”
Panel 3: Shot of Batman and Catwoman. Catwoman buries her face in the palms of her hands. Batman is still tied up.
BATMAN: “Helena – it’s past your bedtime, sweetheart.”
There it is. You will be using as reference the Pre-Crisis, Earth Two designs for Bats and Cats. Also, panel staging and sequencing is flexible, you don't have to stick to my guideline.

Thanks Lew! I have added a plot line to the 3 page script that confirms your deduction.
my entry (any and all critism is more than welcome, please tell, if what you read sucks horribly feel free to let me know)
I'm going to just go ahead and write this, without editing it or working it over, stream of concious style, because I want to know where and how I can make improvements to my natural writing style.
Page one -
Scene - a dark rooftop somewhere in Gotham City.
Panel one -
time: now, midnight in gotham city.
The bat signal shines in the background as a shadowy figure creeps up to a corpse of a businessman in full dress who is laid out on a dark rooftop.
Panel two -
the creeping figure is Catwoman, who approaches the dead man and starts to make a quick check on the victim. Seen up close, the man has a bullet wound in his left shoulder, and the blood from the wound is splattered all around the rooftop, not just around the man's shoulder.
Panel three -
Catwoman leans in close to the corpse, and a dash of white powder puffs off of the corpse and makes contact with Catwoman's nose.
Panel four -
Another dark, shadowy figure creeps out of the rooftop shadow, Catwoman turns her head up to look, and sees a gigantic bat shaped monster with dark red eyes, and long fangs. Catwoman reaches for her whip.
Page two -
Panel one -
Catwoman tries to use her whip to take the creature down, but it swiftly grabs the end of the whip and pulls it from Catwoman's hands.
Panel two -
Catwoman pulls out her claws and tries to scratch the creature.
Panel three -
Catwoman runs and tries to scratch the creature, but it deftly side-steps her attack and dodges it.
Panel four -
Catwoman falls to the ground as a result of the momentum of her run at the creature, she rolls and lands on two feet.
Catwoman - "Cats always land on their feet. It's been fun, lets not do this again sometime."
Panel five -
Catwoman blows the creature a kiss and runs away, the creature pursues.
Panel six -
Catwoman jumps off of a roottop to reach the adjoining one.
Panel seven -
Catwoman looks down, and, realizing how far up she is, has a shock of panic, and terrified, can't complete the jump. The creature reaches out an hand to grab her.
Page three -
Full page image of Catwoman her left arm linked with Batman's left arm, dangling over the rooftop.
Batman - It's okay, Selina, I've got you.
That's it. It should be obvious to all bat-fans that the person behind the murder of the businessman is the scarecrow and that selina was exposed to fear toxin that was left on the man's suit. As for who he was, how he died, and how he got where he was, I'll leave that up to your imagination to fill in, as I've only got three pages. All comments and critisms are welcome.

PANEL 2: batman’s approaching the cat which is sitting there in the exact same pose as in panel 1. but now we can clearly see that it’s just a weird looking toy cat.
PANEL 3: BOOOOM! the cat explodes. batman is engulfed in flames.
page 3

Don't worry. I've only read a couple, and I'm guessing that me, and a bunch of people here won't read them all till it's time to vote. The only way that late submitting will hurt you is if it's after the deadline, 'cause then you're not on the poll.

From a submissions perspective this piece is a really nice one. It gives the artist a chance to INDICATE action being taken by the hero and at the same time it is more focused on character interactions. I would like to use this for a sequential sample at some point in the future. would that be ok with you?

PAGE ONE:
PANEL ONE: Establishing shot of the Gotham City Museum of Natural History. In fact, there's a fancy brass plate on the building that says "Gotham City Museum of Natural History," and under it is the word balloon. A banner reading "Charity Masquerade Tonight" is draped across the front of the building.
1 BALLOON (INSIDE MUSEUM): -- Museum of Natural History thanks the Wayne Foundation for the donation --
PANEL TWO: In the museum's main foyer, the MUSEUM DIRECTOR and LUCIUS FOX stand on either side of a dais. On the dais, under a glass case, is a mummified cat. The DIRECTOR, LUCIUS, and the other people attending this society gala are all dressed in some sort of masqued costume. Some are dressed as superheroes, all DC characters of course. LUCIUS, of course, wears a stylized fox mask, similar to what might be seen at Mardis Gras.
2 BALLOON (DIRECTOR): -- of this splendid specimen from the recently unearthed temple of Bast at Alexandretta!
3 SFX: CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP
PANEL THREE: A different angle on the dais, which is in the background. In the foreground, a glass of wine is raised to a set of lips by a gloved hand.
4 BALLOON (DIRECTOR): And now, as it's approaching midnight, everyone put down your glasses and prepare to --
PANEL FOUR: The lights have suddenly gone out, so we have a completely black panel.
5 BALLOON (FREE): What the --
6 BALLOON (FREE): Hey, who's -- ungh!
7 SFX: CRASH
PANEL FIVE: Close on the dais. The cat is gone, LUCIUS is on the floor unconscious, and the glass case is broken over his head.
8 BALLOON (OFFPANEL): The cat --
9 BALLOON (OFF PANEL): It's gone!
PAGE TWO: Odd and even-numbered panels are offset. All are either from Batman or Catwoman's POV.
PANEL ONE: A man dressed as Green Arrow and a woman in a tiger mask, both in poses of shock.
1 CAPTION (BATMAN): Selina, obviously. But where is she? *Who* is she?
PANEL TWO: A ZORRO figure fingers the pommel of his fake sword.
2 CAPTION (CATWOMAN): *He'll* be here. Somewhere. But he'll never find me.
PANEL THREE: Someone dressed up as a cast member from "Cats."
3 CAPTION (BATMAN): Too obvious.
PANEL FOUR: The gloved hand from before sets down the glass on a table. In the
background, a guard pats down a Sherlock Holmes in a domino mask.
4 CAPTION (CATWOMAN): Better make my break while I can. He'll still be watching. Follow the lemmings.
PANEL FIVE: A crowd of people rushing the front door of the museum. This is still a
shot from inside the museum.
5 CAPTION (BATMAN): Crowd's panicking. She'll try and lose me in the confusion.
PANEL SIX: A gloved hand shoves a woman in a Robin suit out of the way.
6 CAPTION (CATWOMAN): Hmm -- I wonder -- nah. Almost there --
PANEL SEVEN: Close on a small handbag held in a gloved hand.
CAPTION (BATMAN): Of *course*!
PANEL EIGHT: From above, the gloved hand reaching into the handbag. Like you're
looking at yourself doing the same thing.
7 BALLOON (OFF-PANEL): Guards! Stop that woman!
8 CAPTION (CATWOMAN): Ah, screw it.
PAGE THREE:
PANEL ONE: A whip, lashing out and wrapping itself around the neck of a young woman in a harem girl outfit, complete with veil.
1 BALLOON (OFF-PANEL): One more step, and I'll twist her head right off!
PANEL TWO: A batarang cutting the whip in two.
2 BALLOON (OFF-PANEL): It's over, Selina. Come quietly.
PANEL THREE: Floor level, as a set of smoke pellets hit the ground and start spewing out thick grey smoke.
3 BALLOON (OFF-PANEL): You should know by now, lover --
4 BALLOON (OFF-PANEL): -- I never come quietly.
5 SFX: SSSSSSSSS
PANEL FOUR: Through the smoke, a caped figure and a non-caped figure locked in struggle.
NO TEXT
PANEL FIVE: Still smoky, we see the non-caped figure walking toward us with the caped figure tied up. The caped figure has the handbag slung over its shoulder.
6 BALLOON (NON-CAPED FIGURE): Sorry about this, "lover." Still, I admit --
PANEL SIX: And as the smoke clears, we see BATMAN dressed as WILDCAT carrying an unmasked SELINA KYLE dressed as the SILVER AGE BATWOMAN, with her matching handbag slung over his shoulder.
7 BALLOON (BAT-WILDCAT): -- You had me guessing right to the end.
