Looks great, if Magneto is really threatening to tear the world asunder all this hype is taking him up well... but it seems that people occasionally forget that he does have limitations, particularly when he's so strong against non-metallic things.

Are we sure this is the real Magneto?

There no proof it isn't. But I'm guessin it the real Magneto.

Magneto's costume is still very hit-and-miss. The bagginess and waist area is odd, but I love the color scheme. With a few more tweaks this costume could be great.

I hope Torch and Kitty get in on this fight too, they were in the last issue, so why not?

Can't believe that Iceman stay to fight Magneto, instead of ranning away.

Cannot wait for this! True I miss Bagley but Immonen has grown on me. Death of a Goblin was great! I have been a huge fan of Spider-man and his amazing friends since I was way little. Kudos for Bendis bringing this piece of nostalgia back. Not in a corny way though. Anyone else think that Magneto is Liz's Uncle?

It kinda too early to tell.

That'd be interesting. I do remember her in earlier issues of USM stating that her uncle was killed. That may have been around the time Magneto was believed dead.

We can rule out Magneto being Liz's relative. But its one of the Brotherhood.
Has Ultimate Pyro been introduced(not reading UXM)?

Why does Magneto something someone from his Brothehood wants? Isn't he kinda the boss there? Must be a pretty important guy if he can command Magneto around like that.

He has, and he looks like a huge burn victim.

Don't see the problem there.
Bendis writes a great Magneto. Looking forward to the issue.

I like the imagination used in the art if not the actual quality of the art sometimes. See how Magneto's helmet rematerializes after it got webbed.

The Blob may not be Liz's father. All we know is that the Blob had a baby girl with some woman. Doesn't mean that it Liz.
The X-Men called him a liar.
Storm: He'll do and say anything to get you involved with his movement
Besides, there another mutant with no father--Jean Grey.
Ultimate X-Men #70
Lilandra: Your parents, where are they?
Jean Grey: When I started to hear voices and see things, my parents dumped me in a funny farm and never looked back.
Could be Jean, it not like there was a DNA test to prove the Blob is really Liz's father.

Jean has a father. He was in Ultimate War. They aren't on bad terms, he just couldn't handle living with an uncontrolled telepath/telekinetic.

The Blob? Like, seriously? That's beyond lame.
This arc was turning out great, but this final issue felt rather rushed with Magneto just leaving and Liz going with the X-Men like that. I was expecting more form this, and a closer bond between Spider-Man, Iceman and Firestar. Peter revealing his identity to Liz was a nice touch and made sense, but how many people do know his identity now? Not so secret anymore, but works as a contrast to current ASM.
The moments with Magneto and the X-Men were cool, though. The way he mentioned Cyclops and Wolverine joining him once was a nice use of continuity.
But the Blob thing ruined it for me.

Since no one has but up a thread on it yet, here goes:
Magneto tries talking to Liz Allen but Iceman and Spiderman try to buy her some time so she can run away. Magneto is trying to offer to take her to meet her father. She runs home and asks her mom who her father is. The mom has been lieing to her and it turns out her Uncle Larry is her father. Liz gives her mom the ole I hate you story, when Magneto and the X-men arrive. No fighting happens, Liz decides not to go meet her father because he chose not to be with his family. Magneto departs and Spiderman says "Wait, he's just leaving?"
Liz has run to MJs house and Spiderman catches up to her to say reveal he is Peter Parker. Iceman comes by to offer her to come to the X-men. Since she has decided never to go home again to her stupid lieing pig mother, she goes off with Iceman(she is also promised a flame-proof costume).
Issue ends with a flashback to Magneto and Liz's father(Franklin) in the Savage Land when he was starting the place up(he's going to have a meeting with Xavier to give a basic timeline of when it was). Liz's dad mentions that when he went to get rations recently that a human he used to hook up with had a girl that was his and he wanted them there. Magneto says no since the mother is a human and the baby girl would probably die in the savage land. Franklin decides to stay in the Savage Land and Magneto promises that he'll retrieve her if she wants if she manifests mutant abilities.
Oh yea, Franklin is the Blob's homo-sapien name :D
THE BLOB!!!!

I liked this issue. The art was great, but I'm still not used to Immonem's faces(they can be disturbing to me). There was no fighting, which I think will disappoint some people, but it was really a character building issue for Liz and pushes her into the X-men(I think that'll be interesting).
I'm so stoked from knowing that Blob is Liz's dad. I was surprised but thought it was hilariously great(I mean, he is a man afterall, why can't he procreate?) and really builds on Blob's character as well. Man, wish Bendis wrote UXM for a couple arcs and that Bagley could be the artist(that'd be so great, I'd buy UXM again).

Can anyone tell me if Blob knocked up Liz's mother when he was skinny?
Cause, like, you can't use what you can't find. Really. ;)

Yeah, that would be cool. I'd just settle for whoever's writing X Men next acknowledging Bendis' good work and including Liz in some way. I haven't read the issue yet... is this the last one of this arc? Are we seeing some symbiote soon?

Agree, remove the Blob and the issue will be fine.

Ok, haven't read this yet, but as this happens after Ultimate X-Men #93, can we safely assume that the X-Men on the cover are the new X-Men team?

Made this thread because it seemed obvious that other thread was just about Liz and her impact on the Xmen and not about USM really.
Next issue is the start of a new arc, the cover has Omega Red on it, and its supposed to be the worst day in Spidey's life(maybe its a flashback arc since we all know the USM game adaptation is supposed to take place a while back, but then again it could be current).
The Blob! :D
this getting ridiculous, how everyone and their dog knows about peter.
Good. Fresh storylines.

It look like the old team got back together. Maybe because Xavier is back.

Maybe Kirkman is putting everything as it was after Bendis's run. Beast maybe dies...AGAIN.

Ah well.

FYI, Kong(Kenny) is on the TV cartoon Spectacular Spiderman. In fact, I think the show is at least lightly influenced by USM, seeing as how all the villains are connected and how Osborn treats his son vs Peter, and Gwen is back, Peter tutors Osborn who is now on the football team.
I prefer USM Kong though, more likeable, but TV Kong hasn't been fleshed out yet so who knows.

It look like the old team got back together. Maybe because Xavier is back.
Only thing is it's not exactly natural progression is it? Oh Prof' is back so let's go back to normal :|
I hope the teams reformation is explained well, and the other 'x-men' are given reasons for leaving and maybe purposes elsewhere. Maybe Hank could go back to the legacy stuff or back to find himself again after this how experience. OR maybe the last few years were just a dream... ;)
Oh! Maybe they're goning to do a gold and blue team type thing? And have more than one team...
On USM #120... it was excellent definately the best comic available in the ultimate line. Long Live Bendis! :D
