Where do Ex Machina Special 1 and 2 fit into the regular series?

I just bought a run of Ex Machina 1-34. plus the special 1 and 2.

I haven't read a thing yet, and I want to read it in order. Where in the regular series should I read EM Special 1 and 2?

I bet there'll be plenty of disagreement with me, but I honestly suspect strict numerical order is not a priority in this series, if only because most issues contain bits of story from several different time periods in the life of Mayor Hundred.

That said, I'd read the special...well, I DID read the special...in the sequence published, which places it as the newest issue to date.

No, they were not the most recent issues published. In the trade paperbacks, the specials are included at the end of Volume 4. That would put them between issues 20 and 21, but storyline wise I'm not sure where they would go. Or, like Matt said, that it matters.
