i got Tag & Bink Were Here coming in the mail. i read the plot and loved the idea of a comedy style story intertwining with the original story.

wot did you guys think of it?

are there any other comics anyone knows of like this involving other movies?

there are lots....Clerks had a comic based on the movie(s)....

Edit: Sorry, i expressed that incorrectly. there were comicS and they were not adaptations, they were stand alone stories that integrated into the Smith View Askew movies. But as for a comedic comic on a more 'serious' type movie....hmmm.. I have to think....

Kevin Rubio did a great Star Wars/Pulp Fiction parody in Star Wars Tales (I can't remember the issue). The series had a bunch of stories that didn't take themselves so seriously.

The story is in Star Wars Tales #7.

Rubio also has stories in #4 and #24, they're all funny.

Just in case you didn't know- Tag and Bink's adventures were inspired by the play Rosencrantz and Guilderstern Are Dead which shows what Hamlet's two school friends were up to in between their brief moments on stage. It's really funny if you're a Shakespeare fan and there's a great film adaptation starring Gary Oldman.
