Hi there,

I recently won a auction for some ultimate x-men comics issues 1-80 + 5 variants, only cost me 200 nz dollars and all are in VF/NM condition.

Anyway... in there was a hard plastic covered comic.

It had it been rated by PGX and was sealed.

It is a Ultimate X-men #1 Museum Edition. number 45 of 599.

However at the top in small writing it said "German Reprint" what does this mean. Im guessing it means its not one of the original 599 released? Sorry im quite new to comic collecting. Can anyone advise.

Its all sealed and i don't really want to open it as i have 3 other #1's in the package. So i can't check if its written in German... i suspect it is.
All the other comics are in english.

Anyway thanks for your help in advance.

When you say "writing" is it hand written or typed text. Either way, it's gotta be a German reprint that isn't worth anything. I realize this isn't much help, but if you are playing the "valuable" game, being reprinted in Germany puts it right there with any other reprint from Germany.

Personally, I think every Ultimate X-Men comic should be worth the price on the cover, but then, I am one of those snide people that don't get the whole "worth" thing...shouldn't that have died off around 1994?

Ahh its not hand written, its typed.
On the actual comic cover itself it says Museum Edition in english an on the back it has a watermark type thing that says "Musuem Authentic Edition" in english.

Its been officially graded by PGX as 9.8. I bought these comics more to read then anything else.. always been a fan of X-men.

Personally i think the uncanny x-men seem to have better storylines from what i have read so far lol.
The storylines are a little cheesy.
