My favorite is Superman's Theme by John Williams.

There is no song on earth that gives me more hope or confidence than that song. I can have the shittiest day possible, play that song, and even though I may still be glum and depressed, that song will help me remember it's just one day and the next one can be different and better.

However, I do LOVE the old Lynda Carter Wonder Woman theme, it's so catchy and spunky, really fits with the character to me.

Green Arrows theme (as said) Is awesome, even more so because he sings it himself in that scene. It's one of my favorite JLU moments, a testament to Ollie's confidence and faith in himself, the guy goes into battle singing his own theme song for crying out loud! :D

And of course, the Batman theme from the movie and B:TAS is just awesome, I've never found a piece of music that seems more fitting for the character than that one.

Yeah, in all seriousness, there are so many great ones. Even the music from Superman the Animates Series was wonderful, though it is overshadowed by the original movie score.

I have to admit though, that while, the original Spider-Man theme song will probably always be my favorite, I like to start my days by listening to the Wonder Woman theme song on my iPod. That's got to say something about it, right?

I got the imoression that the Spectacular Spider-Man theme song was trying to be the modern equivalent of the classic one, but it just didn't work.

John Williams' score for Superman.

Hands down, the best superhero theme song ever and one which has yet to be matched. It's iconic; it's instantly recognizable; and it captures perfectly the awe, the wonderment, the incredibleness of the character as if seen by the citizens of Metropolis for the first time, shooting through the sky with a three-color gash of yellow and blue and red sliced between buildings.

Heck, in the the Superman theme, you even have the Daily Planet/Lois Lane theme there too (the "Can You Read My Mind" bridge led by those horns), which is another fine break from the main melody. But most importantly, there are those introductory notes of the score that build slowly to the most recognizable part of the song; it's the musical equivalent of nebbishy Clark Kent righting his question-mark posture, removing his glasses, and rushing into the nearest telephone booth while his dress shirt parts to reveal the symbol of the House of El.

Frak yeah.

There is in fact NO competition for Al Hirt's Green Hornet Theme. None.

The Spidey Man theme is probably in second place though, just because any old idiot can sing it. It's fun.

Wonder Woman's TV theme made me shiver. And not in a good way. Sorry TV Wonder Woman fans.

None of the miscellaneous (and fairly interchangible sounding) Danny Elfman themes ever did much for me.

I love the old Lynda Carter WW theme because it's so awesomely '70s-tastic.

I'm also very fond of the theme tune to the LSH cartoon, and the music that plays over the closing credits of The Incredibles. (In fact the closing credits sequence may be my favorite part of that film cos I love the music and the design so much.)

To be fair, yes it is. It's the arrangement, and the choice of instruments that makes it into "The Green Hornet theme" though. You couldn't just play the piece of classical music and have the same automatic association.

One of my friends so loved the B:TAS theme that, last year, I spotted one of those birthday cards that plays music and it played the Batman theme. I gave it to him and he got the biggest kick out of it.

The news of Dave Stevens' passing reminded me that James Horner's music for "The Rocketeer" was one of the best, most beautiful scores around.

I often pop it into my CD player and it is so gorgeous.

Willaims's Superman theme is an obivous pick. I think I like Elfman's Batman theme a bit more, though compared to some of his other works it sounds quite similar. I also loved that latin chorus for the Mask of the Phantasm movie.
