Will do, hopefully! I mean, a chance to greet an artist who to me met up so ably to mr. Mignola's plottings? (His Kid Eternity being no mock-up either I'd say - and so I do hereby).

Right, booked me a decent enough hotel (I hope) and I'll be keeping in touch with some comic-wise pals who'll also go, for hearing the stone grind and hopefully a fun time. Can't wait!
From the line-up (check alz's links on top here) especially Fegredo, Kitson, Renaud, Henrichon, Parel and Michelinie have me intrigued and anticipating as yet .

Brought to my attention is that Duncan Fegredo won't be able to attend Lille this year, due to family circumstances.
Major bummer obviously, but I wish favourable winds for mr. Fegredo. Hope things work out for you sir, and to meet you at Lille next year .

Thats a real shame, but it still looks like something worth going to, http://photo-shack.com/img/61b4a64be663682e8cb037d9719ad8cd.gifif it wasnt quite so far away :) Where I'm from, "over the pond" means Australia ;)

I feel know what you mean, as I've been aching to attend a genuine ozzy BBQ more than once. Especially in winter, when rumor has it it would be summer with you . Is it true water whirls away in the tub or sink in the opposite direction? (meaning counter-clockwise) (I believe...)
EDIT: or you don't mean Australia, but... one of those beautiful islands - but maybe you have BBQ's too?

Because some 2 months back I had the nerve to email Duncan Fegredo to inquire after possible original art, he took the time to inform me personally on his being unable to attend due to sudden misfortune. What a kind and straight-up guy he must be ! I wish him all the best. I surely will still have a ball at Lille and I'm sure another opportunity for meeting Duncan will arise.

Are there any other Hellboarders going btw?

Oh i'm sorry to hear that about Duncan. Best wishes to him.

I'm hoping to go to Lille one day maybe... can't speak the language or anything, but it's not too far away and it would make a nice little holiday some time.

Expect this to be edited into a proper little Con report. For now let me say it was totally grand in La Douce France, but I'm tired.
Don't you people now it's the middle of the night:smile:  ?!

Here goes:
Lille was.... swell!
Some cancellations but those can happen and for the nigh insane line-up, fans got treated to plenty still.
Two days of easy-going mildly crowded gathering and only talented artists. With Duncan Fegredo needed elsewhere
I went after meeting up with Barry Kitson,
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=443832&GSub=56279&GCat=29323
Paul Renaud
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=443875&GSub=56291&GCat=29323
and Doug Braithwaite
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=443814&GSub=56279&GCat=29323,
for which I 'sacrificed' the likes of Simon Bisley, Glenn Fabry, Adi Granov, Frazer Irving and Koi Pham.
Doug Braithwaite had brought along the lovely miss Sue for a traveling companion; she praised the Mignolas
for being genuinely nice people, having met them at prior cons.
I also got blown away by a few up and coming heavily talented French artists. Firstly Raphaël B, supporting a new book
together with scenarist Sébastien Viozat called 'Ma vie de zombie':
(cover) 45375 & (back) 45377
in which both guys generously created this lush frontispiece:
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=443862&GSub=56279&GCat=29323.
Secondly David Bulle, who delivered but amazing stuff, which is why I dared ask him for a Hellboy:
45376.
Last but not least I obtained the French Ghost #5 (being the Ghost / Hellboy mini), with a cool cover by Claire Wendling:
45378, plus a mini-size printed Adam Hughes sketchbook section featuring HB once and a Mauricet pinup inside.
No French b&w Hellboy or Mignola Batman editions to be found 'though, which will be highly limited for sure. But really Lille was great fun and I met tons of cool people. France wasn't too shitty neither. Upon arriving I found out some Halloween-ing to be going on (which is more than I can say for my country) and the bigger part of the Dutch contingent went out to dinner together.
Now let's see if this will post  ...

That was another Hellboy appearance I would never have found without this forum. You people are great! Thank you. I just got the Ghost feat, HB on ebay. Part 1 and 2 for 9.90.

Is there a comprehensive list of Mignolas published work anyhere. On internet or in a book or companion or whatever?

The comic con seems to have been terrific! I actually have been to Lille a long time ago. Perhaps it is time to return, lets say next year about this time...

For a Hellboy site check http://www.darkhorse.com - click on the left where it says 'zones', when you click 'Hellboy/BPRD' - you can find nigh everything you seek!
Over at http://www.hellboy.com it's sweet too.
For a companion I would buy Hellboy: the Companion. Or use an Ouija Board .
For a non-Hellboy Mignola list check here: http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showpost.php?p=2577614&postcount=1.
Here's another (older) one: http://www.distrimagen.es/mignola/mignola.htm.
If you've completed these, you will know about 91.7% of Mignola's published comic work I reckon'.
