DAZZLER WEEK: Dazzler's solo movie!

Let's just assume that Marvel goes crazy and gets a Dazzler solo movie going right after Wolverine's movie is done!

Who would direct? Who would star? What would the plot be like, and what kind of film would it be? Romance?

I'd like a Dazzler movie directed by Baz Luhrmann, starring Kylie Minogue!

It's a light romantic comedy with lots of musical sequences and some action scenes and LOTS of inside-stuff on the showbussiness things going on! it's all about Dazzler's attempts to keep being an international star without her dirty secret destroying her career AND get the man! She's torn between two love interests; her caring agent (Lee Pace in the role) and a mysterious billionaire playboy named Warred Worthington III (David Boreanaz or Eric Mabius on the role!).

In the meanwhile, she has enemies to thwart, like the Norwegian supermodel villainess Enchantress (Victoria Silvstedt) and her newly discovered half-sister, Lois London (Danii Minogue), who accidentally kills a bus full of hobos and cats and thus endangers Dazzler's career!

Will she beat the baddies? Will she save her career? Will she get the man (or both of them)? Will she get on the Grammy Awards on time and win the Best Female Singer Award?????

I'd love to see a Dazzler: The Movie!

I'd love it to be directed by Baz Luhrmann! But I'd go with Paul Verhoeven. I love his seriously CAMP movies.

I'd like it to star Amy Smart.

I'd like it to involve a detective played by Thomas Jane. He'd be contractually obligated to be shirtless/full frontal.

Lead Villian played by Jason Statham. He'd also be contracually obligated to be shirtless/full frontal. Gina Gershon plays a villian. Matthew St. Patrick plays Luke Cage cameo! also contractuall obligated to be shirtless/full frontal.

Her best friends and back up singers played by Kimberly Locke and Lauren Ambrose , Lois London (Jason Statham's girlfriend) played by Lauren Lee Smith.

The movie would strongly follow the Dazzler:The Movie graphic novel plot. Except in the movie, Dazzler is already a big celebrity and has enjoyed years of success. When her mutation is revealed that's when her career plummets and she has to really deal with all the bigotry, threats, etc as a result. Flashback moments to act as her "origin." Romance elements, some comedy elements, a few action elements and of course room for short musical scenes (though let me stress I would NOT want the movie to be an actual musical). Baz Luhrman should direct :D

You have never read Dazzler:The Movie? :eek: Only two of the characters appeared in the graphic novel, the rest were from her solo series

Eric Beale: rich guy who was a SUPER sleaze (later reappared in UXM #260 as a fat coke fiend)
Roman Nekobah: the older hollywood actor Dazzler got involved with
Vanessa Tooks: Dazzler's best friend from her solo series
Hary Osgood: Dazzler's manager
Lois London: NO EXPLAINATION NEEDED! ;)
Carter Blaire: Dazz's father
Grandma Bella: self explanatory

Kylie IS Dazzler as far as Dazzler existing in the real world...but despite the fact that she's still uber-glamorous & got her start in acting, dare i say that she's too old & not a good enough actress to tackle our Dazzler?

personally, i'd be more interested in a Dazzler film that began with a young Ali fresh out of graduate school turning her back on her father & attempting to get a start in the music industry & keeping her powers secret. there could be lesser villains, maybe even some comical ones, to keep Dazzler busy being accidently heroic & then the main villain could be an older, already established singer that feels threatened by this stunning new talent. it could then be revealed she's an Enchantress-type sorceress who has been using her magics to stay popular & maintain her youth. i'd have the feud escalate throughout the course of the film & then blow up in a very public way...outing Dazzler as a mutant. it would end with her losing all that she's worked for & leave it with a set up to where there could be a sequel or she could be worked into the next X-Film.

Madonna would make the SUPREME Dazzler villainess!

HOWEVER.

I think that a Dazzler animated movie would be the best. No hangups on people's look or age, just voices.

And you would have a supremely hot Dazzler.

And the animation/light effects would be like candysex, and we won't have to worry about shitty live FX.

oh, and to be fair...i've gotta give kenchi credit for helping mold my aforementioned Dazzler movie plot. trust me when i say, we've discussed this very issue at length lol.

now that he's here to back me up (riiiiiiiight? lol)....i can reveal that i'd really like Lindsay Lohan to play Dazzler (in the format i described obviously).
