Was there meant to be a third or something, there is constant talk about how it was intended to be a trilogy, I thought it was great but was there ever meant to be a third to round it out?

EDIT: Err, sorry wrong forum, didn't know if I could move/delete the thread... Damn Firefox tabs.

a third what?

I thought Joe Q has been consistently on record saying there isn't a need for another Ultimate DD book, because the character is virtually the same guy as in the 616.

I wouldn't mind a third UDD/Elektra mini or whatever; sure they might be the same character essentially, but I'd never buy a 616 DD(too much backstory imo) and wouldn't mind having more in this form. Can't wait for Joe Q to be booted out of position and we get a whole new game.

PS As long as Jeph Loeb doesn't write it, it would be good.

There's really not even that much backstory to 616 DD. He's pretty accessible.

I don't know, isn't he married to a blind woman, the world knows his identity, he's wanted, in prison, etc and some such? I like the noncomplicated Ultimate stuff. Just a blind guy with powers.

All that's true, but it all happened pretty recently. There's not many stories older than like 6 years you need to read.

If you’re not interested in Daredevil fair enough. But if the only reason your not keen on DD because you think he is too complicated etc, your really missing out to be honest.

That's what makes it fun.

Spidey thinks all the bad crap happens to him, then he hangs out with Murdock for an afternoon and thanks his lucky stars.

To be frank, the one reason why I like the UU is because I'm caught up on everything. I'm kinda OCD that way ;)
Like I didn't bother trying to pick up any 616 Spidey because there were time traveling Uncle Bens(evil, 2099, or some shtuff like that), Devil's with deals, unmasking flip flopping somesuches. I like the simpler days of Spidey where all he had to worry about was clones. Anyone else wishing for clones?

So yea, probably missing out, to be honest :D that's why I like the UU, 4 titles, pretty easy to keep up with, can be OCD all I like. So if there is a 3rd UDD mini, I'd definitely read it since it'd be my perfect fix for Daredevil.

Can't argue with that.

Though with regards to comic OCD, I know exactly what you mean.

Oh I had no idea, I just thought the two minis were intended to be part of a trilogy, i.e. Ult. Daredevil and Elektra, Ult. Elektra and Ult. Daredevil...

But I guess not?

Ultimate Daredevil is basically the same as 616 DD except that he seems a tad younger. Also Ultimate DD does not particulary like Spidey and is sympathetic to Punisher where in 616 Spidey is one of his closest confidants and he nearly despises Punisher.

Calling it Ultimate DD was really a misnomer as it is more like Ultimate Elektra. It just gave he guys and excuse to through those two into the Ultiverse I think.

They can always do another DD/Spidey team up:

I would want more low key DD/Spidey team up, with no Kingpin. No other heroes, just Spidey and DD, with a few low key DD villains.

I would want a DD/Spidey team up that plays up their differences. DD's world is way darker than Spidey's, Spidey fights bank robbers, while Daredevil is fights drug dealers and serial killers. Spidey should be kinda freaked out, because Hell's Kitchen should be way scarier than the rest of NYC and DD has to be way tougher than Spidey in order to survive in his world. DD for example would really beat up a drug dealer to find out info and Spidey being freaked out by DD's behavior.

Ultimate Daredevil is the lamest hero i have seen (of the ones with famous name).

Spidey,X-men etc recovered something of what made them interesting in 616 in their Ultimate versions but Ultimate DD felt like an insult.

Or maybe im just spoiled by Frank Miller,Mack,Bendis,Brubaker stories i have read the last years.
