Agreed. I think Hudlin has interesting tale in store concerning Wakanda and look forward to seeing them since, in many ways, Wakanda is a blank slate unlike Madripor or Latvaria

I'll be interested in seeing how BP reacts to that particular guest star.

Her past interaction with BP may have been retconned into being an Earth A duplicate.

Do you mean their time in the Avengers together, or when she fought the vampires in NO?

I'm not sure... maybe the Earth A duplicate was the one we saw both with the Secret Avengers and during the Vampire thing, or maybe it was neither. It's hard to tell. Maybe the Nextwave costume is the give away... who knows.

I will say this... I do feel that she was somewhat more insecure about herself in both occasions. Maybe it's because of the way that Hudlin wrote her that Slott made her one of the Earth A duplicates... but again who knows.

It's very possible every other writer at this point is just ignoring the Earth A duplicates since it was a humor based story more than anything else. I'm just curious how that will factor into things, if at all.

If you mean Earth A with the She Hulk story I really dont think that story was made to be taken seriously. So I bet writers will ignore it. Cover looks nice thats all I can say about that.

Would it kill them to design Monica a new outfit, one that doesn't look so ridiculously silly. lol :) Yay for her appearance though. One of these days Marvel has to collect her in a trade. Even if it is just pandering to a specific group of people or fans.

And the retcon involving the Young Avengers seems to be accurate... they no longer seem a part of the Initiative.

But yeah, I probably expect Hudlin to ignore it.

It's better that that storyline never leaves that issue of She-Hulk. Cute as it was, it's god-awful for the Marvel universe as a whole.

I thought Monica was wearing her Nextwave duds now? I liked that look for her. Maybe it's a Skrull, it is about time for Hudling to tie into Secret Invasion.

Indeed.
She used to be in my top 5 but after Nextwave, Monica became my absolute favorite Marvel character.
(Aaron Stack dethroned a fleshy one, Namor on the #5 slot). :D

Monica has always been my absolute favourite character coming out of the Avengers way back when...and truth to tell, I got all warm and fuzzy inside when she appeared briefly in BP:CW...that said, I'm SO looking forward to this issue..I just wish they had updated her costume though...maybe in time.

So what's her codename nowadays? Is it Photon? Pulsar? or just plain ole Monica Rambeau? I haven't read anything with her in it (cameos aside) since NextWAVE ended.

Last I heard, she was going by her goverment (real name :D ).

I wouldn't be surpised if Monica started going by a code name again. Now that Genis is dead, she probably feels it's safe to start going by a code name again.

If i'm not mistaken, it's the second part of a new arc. Things seem to be moving forward...FINALLY! The Goddess and the Panther God have looked down on their wanting children and smiled.
