People have stated what they'd like to see and what will probably happen in various threads, but I thought it would be easier to have them all in one place.

So, based on everything that's happened, been said, and shown in previews and interviews, what do you think will happen in the story?

And what do you want to see happen?

Want: Ozymandius, through Doctor Manhattan, is trying to save the multiverse in the only way Adrian can. At the moment he was blasted into chunks, Rorschach was blasted to New Earth by some part of Doc to try and stop Ozy. Once his job is done and Ozy and Doc are stopped, he will automatically go back to the moment he was blasted to goo.

Will Happen: Some sort of New Gods story. Yet, somehow it will barely feature any New God not named Darkseid or Mr. Miracle.

Probably some new fancy villain, though.

Want: no bad dialouge and no screwy plots.

WANT to happen: A big DCU Epic with lots of Eye Candy and Brain Candy that allows the DCU to simultaneously move forward without losing what makes it so cool.

WILL happen: Morrison will confuse the hell of me, like he did with Seven Soldiers. Not that this is a bad thing. I loved Seven Soldiers.

Want to Happen: Good comics being created.

Will Happen: Hhmm... jury's still out on that, IMO. Morrison is an incredible choice but a number of DC's decisions in the last few years have been baffling. DC has already proven capable of dropping the ball (Infinite Crisis & One Year Later are excellent examples of this).

Want: The return of Black Adam's powers

They're already back. He got them back at the end of the Black Adam mini-series by Tomasi & Manke

All I really want is an engaging and intriguing story that remains consistent in quality from beginning to end. I know that's kind of vague and general, but really, that's all I want. The last few events from DC I've enjoyed, but they've also let me down in one way or another, usually towards the end. I'm just looking for consistency from Final Crisis.

What I think will happen, at least from a story standpoint, is the destruction of New Earth, and a mass migration to Earth-1 thereafter. It fits with Morrison's whole "end of the world" tag line, and could bring about the return of genuinely making the Multiverse relevant again by way of transplanting a few select heroes to other Earths.

How this destruction comes about, however, and how the aftermath is properly resolved, I've honestly no clue. That's why they pay Morrison and not me, though.

What I want to happen is a final conflict with all the major DC heroes and villains in a battle royal conflict with Darkseid at the helm. Resulting in a return of uber Hal Jordan as a combo Parrallex/Spectre New God replacing Darkseid.

What will happen: Grant will explain how everyone dies in a future final crisis leading to the justification of Kamandi as the sole survivor.

I wouldn't really want Rorschach to succeed at something that big. Frankly, I thought his death was perfect (especially removing his "face"). Though to be honest, I think "Rorschach" died the moment Veidt's plan happened, meaning it was just Kovaks that the Doc killed.

As for Veidt and the Doc teaming up, I wouldn't see how that would work. I consider their conflict in WATCHMEN to be more important than Rorschach's quest, sort of the ultimate human being vs. God type of story. But that's just my opinion.

Now, if Veidt and the Doc actually succeeded, then that would be epic. But still, I'm kind of tired of the "former hero wants to make the world/universe/multiverse perfect" story.

Want: Lots of useless characters to die.

Will: Lots of useless characters to die. :p

Seriously, I want lots of New Gods and I want it to make sense. Like Morrison's JLA, basically.

well your right that a bunch of useless characters will die because i remember grant saying they made a bunch of new heros, that will do the fighting.

Didn't say Kovacs would suceed, or that Adrian and Doc would get along......just that as a rough outline.

And this is a thread about what people want, not it wouldn't work. It's a comic, it could happen.

They should just reboot everything, and this time make it work.

WANT: Awesome superhero epic, free from continuity mashing, chronology mixing stories that require I'm intimatly familiar with the entire publishing histrory of DC comics.

Want: Libra to take half of the Source Wall power, Lois Lane to die in Supermans arms, Superman Prime to defeat Libra since he has nothing left to live for.

Will: Libra to kick the heroes butt somehow, Lois Lane to be untouched, and Superman Prime not be in Final Crisis at all.

Well here's mine:

Want:

At the end of Countdown the Great Disaster happens which is Brother Eye infecting a bunch of heroes with that virus that Karate Kid has in order to restore power to humans like Max tried to do before IC. The heroes try to find a way to cure them with Ray's help. The monitor's have destroyed Monarch's countdown arena army and he has been missing since his fight with Prime. Then the Monitor's try to fight Darkseid who has beaten Solomon in the chess match and is on the verge of taking over. But since the multiverse is unstable, the Monitors continue getting weak because they are separated.

Meanwhile, Libra has been in the background trying to gather help to take over the multiverse. He's the one who saved the Anti-monitor and sent the manhunters to retreive Henshaw after Sinestro Corps war. With them he has been killing the new gods and now attacks New Earth since that's supposedly the core of the MV and wants to control that to control the rest.

So now the heroes have to try to stop the virus which Brother Eye is spreading and which is killing off a bunch of heroes and fight Libra/AM/Henshaw and stop the multiverse from collapsing. In the end they somehow do this with the help of the reappeared Monarch and Superman Prime who has learned that his perfect earth doesn't exist.
