Does anyone know what's going on with ShadowHawk. I haven't seen a new issue in quite a while. Was it cancelled? It would be a shame if that's the case; ShadowHawk is my favorite original Image character (I know that, that one is dead) with Savage Dragon a close second.

Jim Valentino has put the character on hiatus.
The series stopped last year.
But ShadowHawk is kept in the loop with a few cameos in other image books - either by mention or appearance. So ShadowHawk is not *gone*, just no book at this time.
It's up to Valentino if the series will ever return.

I love Shadow Hawk. I still have my originals from the early '90's. Great books.

A great concept and a cool looking hero? Sure. Great books? Beyond the nostalgia value, not so much.

Still, I'd like to see Paul Johnstone's story retold better one of these days.

The concept was good but i don't think Jim will not make any new story soon about shadowhawk. I'd have to dig my old issue to relive the series... :o

still hoping a continuation though

Thank-you for the update! If it isn't too much trouble could you mention a couple of cameo issues that you know of? Thanks again.

I loved this character from the get go in the 90's.. I loved the mystery, the art, the grittiness... I would love to see a return to the original concept of the book

Where is Shadowhawk?

My guess: breaking someone's back by jumping onto them from the roof of a building.

Seriously though, I loved SH when it first came out! I remember drawing crappy pre-teen renditions of SH, hoping to someday send one in to maybe be featured as a pin up or fan art or something.

And Jim Valentino always seemed like a cool guy, from what I read in Wizard back then and such. Like someone who really loved comics and was actually in it for comics .

And didn't Kurt Busiek bring SH back in the late 90s or so (it was like there was a couple different Shadowhawks at once, or something (like Reign of the Shadowhawks haha?)) for a series that lasted about two or three issues? That's pretty random, huh.

I still have Jim Valentino's SH #1, with the silver foil helmet cover with shiny red lettering...somewhere.

Total nostalgic comic.

Back from the days when Image seemed like they were about to rule the world.

I have gold foil Tribe #1 somewhere too haha!
