This was the sequence of numbers that Penance repeats to Nitro at the end of issue 4 of the current mini-series.

I was visiting a well-stocked comic book store this weekend, and while they had all four of the issues on their rack, I refused to buy the series, finding Penance to be a revolting character.

However, I am intrigued enough to ask, does anyone know the significance of this number? Is it a combination? A swiss bank account? A number of the dead and damaged? Or is it an expression like "Is it Safe" was in Marathon Man?

I think that's Penance's new measurements. That costume makes him look fat.

go look at next week's preview. it explains that he was counting up the deaths and multiplying them by various other numbers (the formula for nitroglycerin, for instance).

So, you read four issues of series you find revolting and don't plan on buying?

I've been surprisingly impressed with this mini, hate to see it end. How can you hate penance???? So much better than when he played a douche bag aka speedball.

No, I flipped through the fourth issue, and decided that I was NOT going to buy nor read the prior four issues.... but the hook at the end, the sequence of numbers, intrigues me. But I dislike the character, and will not be seduced into parting with $15 to read a mini-series about a character that I don't like.:o

I thought this was a thread about Power Girl's measurements. If we were talking about Power Girl, that first number would be way, way too small.
