So who's else has seen it? I just came back from it. I'd call this movie epic, bit the word doesn't even do this movie justice. After going so long with scary, and action packed movies, The Bucket list was a nice change of pace for me. Its been a while since I've seen a movie that needed nothing but a mediocre story line and amazing dialog to "wow" me.

Speaking of dialog, the lines in this movie where the best part of it. Every minute of it made me lol (besides the parts that where supposed to be sad, anywa). Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman really outdid themselves with this one, but then again, they always do. So what did you all think of it?

I moderately enjoyed the beginning, really had fun with the middle and really didn't like the end. There's a thin line between emotion and schmaltz and frankly, the Bucket List fell face first into the schmaltz in its final act.

It's funny, most of the people I know actually loved the Bucket List while most of the critics hated it. I fall somewhere in the middle of the two but the more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to side with the critics. This was especially made clear a few days later after I saw that wonderful little Irish flick, Once, which was genuinely moving and and genuinely well put together and made the big budget Hollywood schlock-fest seem all the more empty.

Rob Reiner used to make films like This is Spinal Tap, Stand by Me, When Harry Met Sally and the Princess Bride. The Bucket List is beneath him.
