Whatever happened to Gutsville? Did it get canceled or something? How many issues was it originally suppose to be?

As far as I can tell Spurrier and Irving got caught up doing paying work (http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=006995). The series is still going to come out, and it runs 6 issues (of 2 released so far)

Issue 3 due next week!

The Solit:
Meet the NoSunMan: serial killer, psychedelic horror-merchant and all-out freak. Albert and Mary must confront this faceless terror if they're to stand any chance of reaching their prize; but what dark secrets will they find in the mangled debris, swallowed by the World-Fish..? Meanwhile in the city, the vile rituals of the priesthood pass unnoticed by the masses. But in the shadows, among the desperate and dispossessed, the first eruptions of rebellion descend upon Gutsville.

And this is what author Si Spurrier posted on the 2000AD board recently:

"Part 4's all written (and has been for a good 2/3 months). Now that the art wheels are turning again I'm getting stuck back into part 5.

Boo Cook's done us some wonderful illustrations for the backup text story in Part 3, and we've twisted D'Israeli's invaluable arms into doing the same for part 4.

Plans to put Episode 1 online in its entirety are also afoot."

Everybody check this out, the art is by Frazer Irving who did Klarion the Witch Boy for Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers, and is something else!
