who knows how long joe maduiera was contracted by marvel to do the ultimates 3 ??? meaning untill what issue? I heard somebody say only five issue and I'm hoping that isn't true.

Yes, Ultimates Vol. 3 is only 5 issues long.

Which is either a very good or faintly bad thing, depending on who you talk to. On a similar vein, does anyone know what's going on with Ultimates 4? I heard it was Loeb again (Oh how the boards will moan, and I'll... I'll sort of moan. A bit.) and Ed McGuiness, who I used to like, but for some bizarre reason have now gone off, through no fault of him, just a quirk in my psyche.

Sorry. Anyway, yes. Ultimates 4. Anything concrete?

Loeb is writing Ultimates 4 but it doesn't sound like McGuiness will be drawing it due to his work on Hulk.

It's not even going to be an Ultimates story anyway, it's supposed to focus on the Defenders and how they got their powers (apparently Valkyrie wasn't the only one).

It's not even going to be an Ultimates story anyway, it's supposed to focus on the Defenders and how they got their powers (apparently Valkyrie wasn't the only one).

I don't know what to think. Should I be happy since in the past the Defenders were great to laugh at or should I be sad since I think Loeb will write it horribly.

So they are going to make an Ultimates volume that barely involves them? Why not just do a Defenders mini series?

Jeph Loeb on the other hand will do an undisclosed number of issues of ultimates volume 4 after the five-issue volume 3 is done. With an undisclosed artist, but I'm guessing Rob Liefeld or Michael Turner.

There is only one arc. Madureira will only do five issues of The Ultimates, thankfully.

If your an artist and you appreciate art then the book is worth picking up. Mad has a rep for being late with his work but he has jump to a new level of art along with liquid coloring the book. It's an amazing book just to "ahhh" about, story wise, it's okay!

The art is lovely. But I'm all about the writing, and the story is just doing nothing for me. Incoherent, garbled crap.
