There has been at least few simmilar threads on this board allready with suprisingly low life span. So here's my thought how to change that. Simple rules:
>Post any 3 track you love/listen lately/listen every day of your life/simply listen
>Of any 3 groups
>Tracks you think most of us might have not heard before [what's the point in posting classics that everyone knows from the radio?]
>WITH a link to this track so everyone else can check this baby out
>Preferably with a short decription on why you like this particular song
By applying to these simple rules we will avoid long lines of artists and songs we never heard/heard of before and get a quick, simple way to share the music we love, with each other.

I'll begin:
1) Big Ideas by LCD SOUNDSYSTEM
why: An energyzing mixture of oldshool rock garage sounds with the electro that makes these long work nights sooo much more enjoyable. Who sleeps anymore?
Link http://stereogum.com/archives/new-lcd-soundsystem-big-ideas-stereogum-premiere_008203.html
2) Days To Come by Bonobo
why: One of my all time favorites. It's amazing how many diffrent sounds there are in the background of this one. A track that takes you on a journey everytime you listen to it. A true new Jazz Wave[or however kids these days call it] masterpiece!
link:http://www.myspace.com/sibonobo
3) Rhubarbidoo by Múm
why: A very short track. But if anyone doubts that there is still a bit of magic in the currently produced tunes this is the place to lose the doubts. This Icelandic band had a tour through all the old corners of their homeland in order to collect any strange and old music instruments, before recording their corrent album. The result is just not what you are prepared for.
p.s.
It may sound strange but if you're a fan of Mummies - don't hesitate to check this one. you will love it.

They've taken away my classroom at work, I'm now training work at home agents. So I brought in a small set of speakers and bring my Ipod with me every morning. I'll let the random play pick three songs to mention. With just under 6,000 songs it should be intresting to see what comes up.
1. "Smoke Two Joints"- Richard Cheese.
Swankified covers are just good fun. It's hard to be in a bad mood when Cheese is playing. Also his last album "Dick at Night" is all TV theme songs. Incredible stuff.
2. "Cinnamon Girl" - Type O Negative
Apparently the Ipod is liking cover songs this morning.
3. "Dirty Old Town" - Pogues
Damn I love the Pogues. With the Dropkicks, Flogging Molly; and Tossers being so popular (and I love them too don't get me wrong) I'm surprised so few people know of the Pogues.
Music, I find myself more and more on Youtube, with all the Icelandic bands making way on Youtube, thats where I spend my time listening to music.
1- Number one would be Sigur Ros, There music and style get my heart roren.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpQ6m2Qf918
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBTH2E5QPEE
2- number two is A moti sol, translation (against the sun). I could go into detail about why, but, I try not to think that hard.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNUj2a5kxbA
3- My favorite alltime musician is of course a close Friend of the family, Which I won't see much because he is touring with Ken hensly this year and he is now a lead singer for another group. He is known as Eric Hawk (Eirikur Haukkson). I spent most of my younger days with My cousins singing playing the piano and writing songs. Erik hawk has also been on Beat for Beat in Norway.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Dk-mEHjwL4 Bubbi Morthens with "Fjollin hafa vakad" ( "the hills are awake", but then there are no hills in iceland just fjords, and mountains) also a fave, he puts a very different perspective on country(sveita) music, but then Iceland will do that.www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKow6tP7XdQ
A few more for your listening ears.
[Another icelandic band making there way through the UK.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7dfzXXYGCg
Their are alot of Europeans who make there way to Iceland for the music.
For such a small country there are alot of groups that play everything from jazz, to new age, and old time simple rock and roll. Here is another favorite. Most don't understand one word, and don't care.

1 - Sweet Home Cananada (http://www.quoteunquoterecords.com/qur003/006.mp3) by Bomb the Music Industry! (http://bombthemusicindustry.com). I like it a lot.
2 - A Baleful Aura in the Graveyard of Broken Gears by A Black Rose Burial (http://myspace.com/ablackroseburial). It's incredibly heavy, and I loves me some heavy, especially that of the death-metal or grindcore variety. Plus, it's brutal.
3 - Elder Misanthropy (http://www.myspace.com/theblackdahliamurda) by The Black Dahlia Murder (http://myspace.com/blackdahliamurder). They're one of my favorite bands ever, and this is probably my favorite song by them. It's bitchin'.

Us (http://youtube.com/watch?v=fczPlmz-Vug) by Regina Spektor (http://reginaspektor.com). I'm in love with her music, and this is one of my favorite songs of hers.
WTF! (http://youtube.com/watch?v=FCse3bAJ6WY) by Saul Williams (http://myspace.com/saulwilliams). Everything from The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust is excellent. Trent Reznor collaborated on the whole thing, and this is one of the few songs he does back-up vocals for on the album.
Stupid? (http://myspace.com/deadtofall) by Dead to Fall (http://myspace.com/deadtofall). This band is one of the best metal bands ever if you ask me, and I'm super bummed that they broke up this past weekend. The newest album Are You Serious? is excellent, it's just a shame that there won't be any more badass Dead to Fall records to follow it. Let's end this song with a %#&*@^ breakdown.

I listen to these as I drive home from work. I work a late shift so, quite frequently there's few to no cars on the road with me as I cruise home.
1) Koop - Summer Sun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aa4A9G1gu2g), a classic and an overall great track to listen to while cruising home from work. Helps me unwind.
2) Ikimono-gakari - Kaze ni Fukarete (Blown in the Wind) (http://emblems.imeem.com/music/XVFi1Aup/ikimono_gakari_kaze_ni_fukarete/), I discovered this band from a new anime I started watching called Tenpō Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi.
3) Marissa Nadler - Famous Blue Raincoat (http://groups.imeem.com/2i-_V-Y6/music/GiwsIMv0/marissa_nadler_famous_blue_raincoat/), it's a Leonard Cohen cover and I think I prefer this version.

With all the respect I wouldn't agree! I mean: totoro's theme, Spirited Away soundtrack, Mononoke tune! These are just perfect and blend idealy with the animation and the feeling that goes with it. For me, they're as magical as the animation itself!
Asobi Seksu is a part of my little mix-cd i call a "long road soundtrack" - things i listen when faced with a longer time behind the wheel- she's perfect for that.
A thing everyone who wonders how Polish folk music sounds and wants to try something digestable in that field:

This is a Polish band that blends Polish traditional music with the more modern music trends. Personally, I have a love/hate bond with it - some of their works leave me speechless [like the one on myspace] while others are simply not for me.

I stand rightly corrected Mikolaj, the music scores of Miyazaki's films are terrific. I should specifically address my feeling that the (sung) theme song of Howl or either Kiki (her cat rules!!) is based upon some European classical piece which seems done in 'adoration' of European culture, to which I would say that anything Japanese wouldn't of course be anything less, or something like that. Just to say that Japanese music is wonderful, (be it either contemporary or not).
Anyway, the Polish track is way cool: strong beats and strings as adventurous as Arvo Pärt's choir stuff [don't know of a link but we need one here for Pärt's Adonai!!]
As Poland is way cool. I greatly enjoyed your native country with a group of friends around '97, 'backpacking' by train for 4.5 weeks. Warsaw (interesting, different, especially when the one time we took a late night tram the driver decided to pull over and pop out for 20 minutes to get beers since it will have been his last ride for the day, locking everyone in in the process, just when 2 guys started a decent brawl) - Krakow, rich and booming and superb alas only as a one day visit from out of Warsaw per slow train - Wegorszevo area (beautiful, good eats and lots of skateboarders, cool Belaruse for one day (meeting up with a cool old kind floodgate man who seemed to speak English at times, as he showed us all the Russian installed electric bits which had remained unused from scratch in preferring the autonomy of manual floodgate operation), the cool lakes and woody nature, (within which shacks were situated, suited for night time drinks, as was revealed to us on our second night, during some youngster rivalry - to the point of a baseball bat even, when to our own surprise our presence had some calming effect resulting in comradery) followed by a day trip to the WolfsKranz aka Wolvenstein which was... intense - Gdansk (again the beauty and cultural richesse and again: lots of skateboarding making for easy conversation) - from which we ferried to the isle of Hell, which has proven to be one of my best destinations yet. To keep it short: one time we stood before a small train level crossing, when what was to pass, straight over the tracks, was nothing other than a young wild boar, screeching adamantly, I mean, what will top that?! Plenty of pleasant evening beach people too, and that Baltic shore has different sand: tiny discs instead of grains.
So Poland = great   . Especially since in advance we'd spent a good portion of our budgets on some superduper full month unlimited railway tickets, so superduper almost every railway officer dude had never even seen one before, causing minor amuck at times at first.
Oh and thanx for starting this thread by the way.

Got an eclectic set to turn people on to today - -
No Children (http://myspace.com/them0untaing0ats) by The Mountain Goats (http://myspace.com/themountaingoats). It might be my favorite Mountain Goats song. I recall many many (drunken) nights of my friends and I belting this song off a balcony while it played on a stereo behind us. It's just so damn good.
Teenage Mustache (http://youtube.com/watch?v=3DUce8VGl-Y) by The Locust (http://myspace.com/thelocust). This song is great. All their songs are great. Most of their songs run under a minute long, so just look up everything by them ever. It's all awesome, assuming you're open to noisy-punk-thrash anti-music. I saw them a few years ago at Coachella, it was pretty much the coolest thing ever.
Gusty Like The Wind (http://www.myspace.com/mayleneandthesonsofdisasterfan) by Maylene and the Sons of Disaster (http://myspace.com/mayleneandthesonsofdisaster). Really excellent Southern rock/hardcore with with some metal thrown in for good measure. It's really great stuff.

MOAR MUSIC.
Exhaustion by Against Me! (http://myspace.com/againstme) - I don't know how you can legitimately get it, as it's not actually been released on anything (I think it was from a demo tape stolen from the singer Tom at a show). I think it's from demos recorded around the same time as Searching For A Former clarity, judging from the sound. If you can't find that one, just listen to everything else they've made. They're just wonderful, and one of my favorite bands of all time.
In Concert (http://www.myspace.com/mystuff777777) by The Faint (http://www.myspace.com/thefaint) - It's pretty awesome. It's my favorite song to have on the mp3 station in Grand Theft Auto 3 while I'm drivin' around cappin' fools. I think it's probably the sweet keyboard lines.

Have you ever checked out Arvo Pärt, a classical Estonian/Latvian composer? You may also enjoy Do Make Say Think (from Canada:smile: ) - I'll look for a link.
Wonderfull. yes I am familiar.
I have a cousin who studdied singing in Italy, she sang there for 15 years before returning to Iceland. She does have one of his songs on her CD,( I know he is finnish). good stuff.

Do Make Say Think you really need to see live I guess. But I'd like to post this as it's a really cool video for the song In Mind of their latest ('07) album - not my personal favorite, which would be 'Goodbye Enemy Airship the Landlord Is Dead' (+ this vid's a must for Sock Monkey fans):

Who knew composer Philip Glass would make an occasional score for the 1931 movie 'Dracula'? (I bet mr. Mignola would like this:smile:):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUB2BkD57rA
The band Russian Circles to me seems a legend in the making and I really wanna see 'em live... (WARNING: instruMETAL:eek: )
Check their new song 'Harper Lewis'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmOR1I2Q-OI&feature=related
or for better sound quality 'Death Rides a Horse...':

Asa, I last went to London in march '05, to see Slint live, not for (any) musicals >"snort!"<... If you would invite me I would maybe consider going to one, but 'till then: never... And I could have, during my trip I mean, since upon returning, after checking in at Luton (EasyJet) people for my flight were sent to like Gate ZZ999 where it was announced cancelled due to heavy snow & frost in Holland (minus 22 Celcius at night!) (Holland!). The next day same story. The next two days same story (with actually checking in first thrice nay quadruple-y. The last evening BBC featured a movie called 'Groundhog Day' - I kid or pork you not!!!

Arvo Pärt is from Estonia.
If you want to hear Finnish pop music, try PMMP:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeY-Ea35UIg
Song's name means something like "Personally"
They, two girls with band, have very good lyrics, they make perfect pop mixed with some punk attitude;
Or this one, "Travelling song" about their band on the road:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3XuJWA-2EQ&feature=related
or
"Daycare", about breaking up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jZ-QOa4VyI
"You will get the turtles, 'cos they are yours, just remember to clean terrarium"
And a couple of Estonian pop songs:
Hu?, #1 at the moment, pop/drum&bass with ironic text
This one is about babe who's disappointed, that guy she's interested of, doesn't look at her and doesn't even send messages to her mobile:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcO08bTzCzA
Video is from TV program, they don't usually look that morbid;
About driving with taxi in deep night (audio only):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTABzkBzNkI&feature=related
Or Estonian hip-hop, Toe Tag:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CT8Tx9XCvNI&feature=related
Song is about how they won't get any money, need to borrow from mom and they don't really understand to where all the money went... again.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9do8aUpVV-U&feature=related
Funny videos.
And, best ever Russian band - Kino:
Singer died ca 1990 in car crash, I'd say they were very The Smiths influenced:
"Sadness"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2aXNxJMqLo&feature=related
and a very good cover by Zemfira:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnQzJp7C5qs&feature=related
And about other neighbors of Estonia - from Sweden try Kent and from Latvia Brainstorm.
Quick post, full of typos and errors, I'm sure...

It's cool to see Slint getting love on here. They played their first shows in the guy that got me into Hellboy's living room! Kees_L, I was in London in '05 for the All Tomorrow's Parties Slint curated. Is that where you saw them? I was playing with a group called Sean Garrison and the Five Finger Discount.
Here's some songs I've been into,
Randy Newman - Louisiana 1927
E.C. Ball - One Day I Will
Bonnie "Prince" Billy - Missing One
Huey "Piano" Smith and the Clowns - Don't You Just Know It
R. Kelly - Get Dirty

Hi dbird, I was late in the Slint ATP fest, then it was announced some extra shows were to follow in the UK and Europe - I attended one at the London Forum on March 2nd. Saw them again in Amsterdam last year.
Sean (on myspace) sure sounds cool, to me a bit like Hank Williams and Gibby 'Butthole Surfer' Haynes exchanging boast stories, enjoyable and narrative (Have you ever heard the Enablers?). Your friend is cool too for having both Hellboy comics as Slint to feature () in his abode! (As are Randy Newman and all howlin' miseries by dark Prince Will Oldham).
You can easily edit your post into links (with 'edit') but only you can, so hence Mikolaj's wish - he owns / curates this here juke-box you see .
Many thanks Ivar_L for your additions, I greatly enjoy Hu? / Hannaliisa Uusma, both the D&B as in the Kraftwerkian appearance (the singer has a strong voice and lots of attitude) and Kino is sweet too. Although Arvo Pärts' choir / vocal works for me remains untouchable in greatness, maybe only Spydawebs' throat singing comes close...

Mikolaj: be sure to post some cool newly found (as you're now off to study the characters ) Chinese / Asian music, please.
Just to say that & that this weekend I witnessed a formidable Slayer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htL00vi_lYs&feature=related and Death Angel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ow2QPV3uUQ&feature=related playing 45+ minute sets, (among many other bands), from no more than about 15 feet away, mostly due to a high stage and the obligatory surf-'n-crash lane. At Wâldrock 2008 - the best metal festival in the Netherlands (Friesland actually), for those that enjoy metal or looking at people enjoying themselves in (un-)inviting ways .

I've been going to metal shows in the high desert more frequently and I've discovered some excellent bands.
Conducting From The Grave (http://www.myspace.com/conductingfromthegrave) from my birthplace Sacramento, California. The singer in the band grabbed my throat and choked me during their set, it was awesome.
Mandalyn's Bell (http://www.myspace.com/mandalynsbell) hail from my hometown's neighbor Hesperia. They are pretty goddamn brutal. I had a great time during their set, even though some drunk hardcore-dancin' sonofagun punched me in the face.
Beneath the Massacre (http://myspace.com/btm) - my favorite kind of grindcore/death metal from Montreal, Quebec. I haven't actually seen them, but I borrowed a CD of theirs from my buddy and they are way bitchin'.

Oh man, I've been into so much random stuff lately.

Paper Planes or pretty much anything by MIA (http://www.myspace.com/mia)
Troublesome, and pretty much anything else by Rustic Overtones (http://www.myspace.com/rusticovertones)
'68 Black Charger by my friends band Werewolves on Wheels (http://www.myspace.com/werewolvesonwheels)

This will be interesting, my musical interests are all over the map, although currently I've been listening to more of the mainstream stuff...
Calm before the storm, Nostradamus - Judas Priest
This song is from Judas Priest (http://www.myspace.com/judaspriest)'s new album that came out last month, "Nostradamus", it is performed as a sort of metal opera, with operatic vocal interludes between the songs. This is one of my favorite interlude/song pairing on the album and I am listening to the album everyday right now.
No World for Tomorrow - Coheed and Cambria
From Co&Ca (http://www.myspace.com/coheedandcambria)'s newest album with its full, exhaustive name, "Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World For Tomorrow" This song is almost always in my head. I don't care how many of the poppy songs MTV plays by this band or how many skinny 12 year olds wearing all black listen to them, Coheed and Cambria will continue to be one of my favorite bands due to their style, originality, depth and character, this song pretty much displays why I loved this band ever since their debut.
Reunited - Wu Tang Clan
One of my favorite hip hop groups of all time, the track is off a double LP they released and I pretty much know the whole thing and all the peoples parts. It is just a solid lyrical exhibition of each of the spitters skills, GZA, RZA, Method Man, Dirty Bastard, Wu-Tang (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=88244159)was at their peak on this album.
I think you can perhaps listen to these songs on all these bands Myspace, besides Judas Priest.
By the way, for those who were talking about Mum earlier in the thread, they are awesome. I'm also a big fan of Bjork which Mum reminds me of a lot. Anyone interested in Icelandic bands should check out Nix Noltes, I think they have a Myspace as well. I saw them open up for Animal Collective and liked them more than AC. They are instrumental Icelandic folk and their entire songs sound like the instrumental bridges in Nuetral Milk Hotel songs.

Seeing this thead, I realized I still had this incomplete reply from a while back:
"First Sleep" by Cliff Martinez from the SOLARIS score
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7SRktSlsGA
I love the shift that occurs at about 2:08.
"Teardrop" by Massive Attack from MEZZANINE
An edited instrumental version of this is used for the opening of the TV show HOUSE. The original vocal song is also on the HOUSE and PRISON BREAK soundtracks.

Cool, lots of new posts up!
MaskedMan, Pangaea (, Jankenstein): Could you please find it in your hearts to edit links into them?
This thread is set up like a workable jukebox, for which posters put in the coin by using links. I know threadstarter Mikolaj would love you for it (I don't really, but since he'll be tied up learning how 'smithsonian clank sounds make for purty elegant icons' I thought I'd ask ).
H.G.: I like MIA's rawness and wicked beats (I feel she represents the India-like parts without going all swankeyhead all the time), I like WOW's feel and how they spell 'wow'.
Pangaea: I would so like to see a WTC songlink .
E.: CFTG are swell but that singer better watch his step for grabbin you...
Of MB I like that the singer sounds like he's letting all his multiple personalities speak. The drums in BtM is a bit much for me, they sort of sound floppy in being so damn fast. Although the 2005 album song does more for me.
jnapper: Am I to think you catch a lot of television? (Feel free to ignore me , esteemed Moderator). Oh and seeing how you like Massive Attack I have a track for you:

Godspeed! You Black Emperor
This is what you get when you combine a small avant garde/new baroque symphony, with electric guitar, a drum set, field recordings, and drown it in the mood of the coming apocalypse. Think of it as a huge, really depressing Explosions in the Sky.

I'm a moody bastard sometimes:
Tom Waits
Oh, god, what to pick. I'll chose one of the mellow songs so as not to scare any new listeners. Brawlers, bawlers, and bastards, I love just about everything the man puts out there.
All the World is Green (http://www.imeem.com/murderspice/music/3ANYQSdL/tom_waits_all_the_world_is_green/)
The Scarring Party
Old-timey steampunk music. Kinda. Unique instrumentation and microphone effect gives the impression of a sepia-toned alternate past. I really like this cover of Everybody Knows (http://www.scarringparty.com/sounds/Everybody_Knows.mp3).
Firewater
Influenced by pop, gypsy, circus, and cabaret music, Tod A. is still always full of irony and dark observations. Dark Days Indeed. (http://blackwidowpromotions.com/music/Firewater%20-%20Dark%20Days%20Indeed.mp3)

Another vid of a song I really like is this:
Daft Punk ~ Around the World. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0HSD_i2DvA
But with my best liked music it's generally that no vids are made or known to me.
For example I knew this was made but could never find it untill Youtube:

Chavez ~ Break Up Your Band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDxiSPLaCfQ&feature=related
I've seen these guys live in '95 or '96 and they did play like they did mean it. And the story goes that for this vid. they actually called in a number of male strippers. Bet they were surprised to walk into like a Geraldo live studio audience thing ...

There's new album out - "The Sound of the Smiths". I ignored all the previous The Smiths compilations, but this one is different - remastering is supervised by Johnny Marr. There are 45 songs on 2-disc version, singles on first, B-sides and rarities on the second.

I'm digging Santogold. I miss hearing that style music.
Santogold's pretty cool and I dig her work, but I don't get some of the praise I've heard for her music, often hailing it as the most important piece of recorded music ever (might be a little bit of hyperbole there, but not much). It's especially strange to me because artists like M.I.A. and Saul Williams have been doing it for years (and they aren't even close to the first, they're just my favorites). Santogold's work is definitely sweet, though.
On that note, everybody has gotta listen to Burzum's Det Som En Gang Var.
Part one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnxP4BhNVU8
Part two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Erhg7J2EyX4
The song is about 15 minutes long, but it's real real good.
Listening to Kanye West's Can't Teach Me Nothin' is also a good idea, but it becomes an especially good idea when you watch the official video, which has Zach Galifianakis and Will Oldham being wacky.

Hi Jnapper! (and ev'rybuddy )
I enjoyed the John Butler Trio - with great drumming and guitar, decent song structure - although the scatty diction in the singing irks me.
And Nirvana's Butch (the sir is that to me, while Garbage for me somehow seemed too much of a compromise, wow.
I actually saw that clip already, in my keeping track of any occasion the names Kurt or Dave Grohl drop, a frantic tendency which I often feel to be rather secretive about.
I liked how Vig discusses the solo - which for me is weirdly captivating and 'right'-sounding, like the song or the whole album. Or the whole band Nirvana up to a point.
Because of that captivating sound-thing I only truely listened to Mudhoney years later (I didn't get their raunchy 'live-like' sound) - seeing them in '95 or st, on their My brother the cow-tour. They rocked off course .
(At a 2-day festival with Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Sebadoh, Lemonheads, Guided By Voices, Pavement, Beck, Chemical Brothers and many others still - even Shellac were there!.) Probably right around when I had got hold of my first Hellboy books. Which were HB: SOD #1 and #4.

I've been obsessed with this song the last few days:
Metric - Gold Guns Girls

- for hellboyone, a poem made out of sheer gratitude:
"Dear Lord I give thanks for
leading me
not astray which should sound off bells, resemble
for a word a welcoming hallway
instead of miss-spelled tearwells, dead birds, or
a used up ashtray, much rather a pick-me-up
so thanks, you rank (ya big galoot, iridescent, albeit perhaps imaginary omnipotent.)"
To say I enjoyed Metric and probably will some more .

This song makes me think of Moby Dick....
That's pretty cool (I guess I should really read that sometime ).
> A Buckethead Story (+ music score) by Kees L. <
I heard there was an accomplished conservatory teacher, clarinet-player and music enthousiast, who after breaking up with someone dear to him, moved to live up north somewhere (Newfoundland if that's correct), making it his business to be recording the sounds and songs of whales.
One time he loaded a recording into his machine, which he thought to be of particularly astounding quality, unaware of the fact that the pitch of the playing tape was set to be sped up significantly.
This being the very thing he heard:

Captivated by these sounds, the man felt inspired to be playing his clarinet at starlit nights, with wandering the world from then on, abandoning his shore-house with leaving his recording equipment, along with his 'whale-tapes' (stuffed into a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket) to get found by the trash collectors.
His clarinetplaying was reported to be sounding particularly heartfelt if not melancholical, warm yet solitary as though for a party or audience of one...

Second part to complete my *Buckethead story + score* (I'm sorry but I'm having too much fun with it / first part in post above).
And during these wanderings and especially the starlit nights, calming, if not struck with silent thunder or distant lighthouse flashes, the aging man, this childless father, occasionally felt himself a witness to a grander spectacle, as if part of some proud and eventful family life, instead of alone or forlorn completely.

The man came to be knowing what the nightskies looked like, like there came to gradually be an unknown and featureless face looking back at him, familiarly and inquisitively. How the man loved clarinet music and the starlit outdoors.

Like ice-cream. Like recycling.

This quaint face accompanying him, befriending him as a lucid yet profound notion, had the man gain footing, quietening down his wayward sense against belonging.
Although as a rule the man hardly ever asked for directions, as he felt such to not parse well with him. And he knew he had time, as long as he took it. As long as he had his clarinet and his nightly skies.
The End
