On sale now, “Criminal” Vol. 2 #1 begins with three stand-alone issues set in the past. CBR News spoke with artist Sean Phillips about the book and his work on a DVD which should interest “Criminal” fans as well.

i'm excited to read this. why did they start over with volume 2 though. I remember an interview where they said they just wanted to tell a bunch of differant stories that sometimes were slightly connected.

The first issue is spectacular, by the way. Not that that's exactly a shock, of course, but I figured I'd mention it.

truth to that. we'll see how the one-shot format pans out, but really i couldn't have asked for a better first issue. instant classic.

Criminal is, and has been since its introduction, the best comic being published today. God, I love that book.

First time reading the title. The cover caught my eye (and I like Brubaker's Captain America work). Definitely impressed. Will be back for more.

I read it today as soon i got from my LCS.
Gnarly was great and even better story and art than i expected even for this series.
I wish we see much more of Gnarly in the past and in the future.

" “If you bought ( or are a ) ‘Marvel Zombies’ you should buy ‘Criminal,’ it's much better! The drawing is, anyway ” Sean Phillips - they should put that on the cover
