To be fair, I matched the characters up based on the powers they were given. DC's down-playing of superheroes whereas as Marvel pushes "B-Lists" to the front as often as possible makes it an unlevel battle, not my matching. If you read up on all the heroes/villains posted, they are mostly the analogue of their Marvel/DC counterpart.

The Mighty Thor vs. Superman this is a given in any world (although many would push Sentry in this battle also)
Wonder Man vs. Martian Manhunter.....not sure how this works out Wonderman is basically one dimensional vs Martian Manhunter, heck whoever between Thor or Sentry doesn't fit in should go against MM.

Hercules vs. Hawkman....of course not, Angel of course, or Falcon
Ms. Marvel vs. Wonder Woman....it's a curb stomp but it makes sense.
Quicksilver vs. The Flash ....seee above, another dc curbstomping but it makes sense
Hawkeye vs. Green Arrow....a given
Captain Marvel vs. Captain Marvel....again a given but another curb stomp issued by DC.
Reed Richards vs. Plastic Man....a given since elongated man is a ghost now.
Yellowjacket vs. The Atom.....possibly the most interesting fight.
Vision vs. Captain Atom....not really sure about this one, I mean I figure Red Tornado vs Vision makes more sense, save Captain Atom vs Monica Rambeau

Dr. Doom vs. Lex Luthor----given, but it's kinda a waste of Doom.
Tiger Shark vs. Black Manta----given or black manta vs stingray(doesn't have to be villain vs villain and those are two of the coolest looking characters so it's a visual masterpiece)
Green Goblin vs. Joker---- kind of a waste of both characters in my opinion but the similarities work.
Red Skull vs. Ra’s Al-Ghul---not really feeling this one.
Sabretooth vs. Gorilla Grodd ---- I guess so, but it's another situation where the DC character would easily wipe away the marvel guy.
Rhino vs. Solomon Grundy----thats a cool one.
Deadpool vs. Deathstroke---- kinda obvious.
Arcade vs. Captain Cold---- no, just no. arcade doesn't really work in this type of environment, go with pyro, or iceman or somebody, but not arcade.
Sandman vs. Clay Face----interesting, I like this one but it's not really a match of power levels.
Dr. Strange vs. Dr. Fate----kinda obvious
Doctor Druid vs. Felix Faust----ok.

I missed Mr Terrific? he could have been used against the obvious black panther or more originally against Iron Man.
Wildcat vs Daredevil has some potential.(the boxer angle)
Cable vs Cyborg I can see.
Beast Boy vs Kraven could be as good as Animal Man vs Kraven.
Spider man vs Blue Beetle seems somewhat fair.
Nova vs any Green Lantern of course is the obvious.
Heck Guy Gardner vs USAgent is obvious but not really fair.

Well most of those fights I don't think I would actually pay to read. Not that your choices are bad it's just some of the characters don't do anything for me.

However, there are a few I would change:
Hercules vs. WonderWoman - Remember in greek mythology Hercules (Herakles) did kill the amazonian queen. Plus, Herc completely outshines Hawkman. For even more fun throw in Cho vs. Oracle to help them out too.

Namor vs. Black Adam - I agree with rogerio on this one. Lets face it Black Adam is Namor just in the DCU. Plus, the Surfer would over power him way too quickly.

Honestly i don't know if besides superman or doomsday in the DCU could stop the Hulk, there should be a contest, Hulk versus all the DC characters one by one, until finnaly someone takes him down, I'd watch that. :D

The reason I put Hercules vs. Hawkman is because they are both demi-gods, and pretty powerful. Also, this is just my opinion on what I would like to see out of a MU/DC battle. Or how about they not be civil and pit EVERYONE from both universes at once on some distant terraformed planet that has little sentient life and can be spared; because let's face it, no planet would survive that.

The only downside to my list that bothers me is that there is no contest from the DC side, Marvel is just too powerful.

Also, the Hulk may be the most physically daunting character on Earth, but not near the most powerful. All powers included, Thor is probably the most powerful character on the planet right now... that may be slightly bias, but it is true. Even if he is not the most powerful, he overpowers the Hulk.

Finally, to put a close to this rant. The Sentry really needs to be killed off... and quickly. They introduced this guy a couple of years back and now he is the most amazing thing ever? No, no, no. And the whole everyone knew him from before but he was so powerful he erased himself from everyone's mind? That is damn ridiculous! He started out as an April Fool's joke, for the Lord's sake; one that sadly got taken seriously. I severely hate the Sentry.

So all biases aside, is Hulk just not on this list because Superman would be the only DC challenge for him?

Also, I'm curious. Thor's energy projection is always what people use as a one-up for Thor against Hulk, but in WWH, we see Hulk taking alot of damage at the Hands of Sentry from Energy Projection, and just keep coming. What other powers set Thor above Hulk?

10. Hulk vs Doomsday


There was an issue of Hulk where he was in a training session with a member of the Pantheon, and there was obviously a "Doomsday" type adversary that the Hulk swatted and told to "Shut Up". I found it comical.

Are these just writers taking shots at the competition or no? PAD was the writer I believe, but it's obvious he's not the only one who does this. All and good fun? Or making a statement/comparison?
