I know some of y'all are Misfit fans. In my weekly column for Girl-Wonder.org I occasionally adopt Misfit's persona and have her, as a fictional character, answer the imaginary concerns of other fictional characters.

And I did that this week, with Misfit Reads Your Mail (And Black Alice Totally Doesn't) (http://girl-wonder.org/girlsreadcomics/?p=136).

It's not hard.

It's not hard.

I'll have you know that channeling Misfit took five years sitting in a cave in Tibet breathing in a mysterious blend of herbs and spices and meditating!

I think Cam means that it is not hard to impress Michael P. Give him a rubber band and he will be sitting in the corner for hours, quietly giggling to himself.

No offense Michael.

as a fictional character

What do you mean "fictional"? Misfit is totally real!

Yay Misfit!

Any chance of a Black Alice spot? Unless every answer would be a poem about night time, that is.

Heh -- Judomaster's question made me laugh out loud. Because: Yeah, WTF is going on with her in JSA?

It's great! Kind of scary how well you channel your inner misfit. Haven't read it all yet, gonna spread it out during the day.

On the judomaster issue. I think we'll just have to figure that all the Birds speak Japanese when she's around. I'm sure Black Canary, Oracle and Huntress have learned it at least. That's the simplest explanation. We were just lucky the writer translated and let us in on the jokes I guess.

I recall Superdickery used to have something like this, but with Bizarro. I don't recall much of it, except for Bizarros not having personality complexes, but simples instead. Unless I'm getting that mixed up with something else.

"Oh, I’m totally sorry, but I have no idea! Oh wait! Maybe you’re totally a Skrull! I hear that, like, everyone over your way is a Skrull."

Fuckin' awesome. :D And this one to Judomaster:

"It really sucks that you’ve lost your ability with English, because I bet you worked really hard!"

Good stuff, Karen. :p

Yeah, I am about to go read and be delighted.

Karen's got the goods. I think she'd make a fine comics writer if she chose that path.

I went all the way to New Zealand to talk to her, was going to sit next to her at dinner so we could chat, and got SHANGHAIED and barely got to say two words to her. That sucks.

I like that explaination.

Awesome column, but you're missing the right parenthesis in your header after "pissed"! ;)

Oh, man, I know, but I didn't make it and I can't fix it. Just *imagine* it there.

I liked it. Thank you!

But i think you are just a alternate universe version of misfit. :)

Oh, no, Misfit is a far nicer person than I am.
