True it was only 5.3 on the Richter scale but i am curious as to how far the effects of the earthquake were. I work close to Wigan and our building shook and thats about 200 miles away from the epicenter. So who else experienced the quake?

I don't even bother to get out of bed for anything more than a 6.2. And even then, I'm tempted to go back to sleep.

Completely missed it in this part of Wales.

Which is good, because this building is crap and would probably collapse if that happened.

100% sure I felt it too in the South, about 1 AM. The building shook for about 5-10 seconds.

My home internet went down (I'm in the library).
Could this have caused it?

6 seconds of mild shaking, hardly anything to get exited about.

No, I'm pretty sure earthquakes are caused by sudden movements in the earth's crust, and not Internet outages.

(I know what you meant; I'm just an asshole.)
