I have been wanting to post an art thread for a long time, but each time I tried, I would close the window (accidentally) before posting. How annoying. Anyway, I have enjoyed other folk's art threads, and wanted to share some of mine. Hope you guys like it. Most of these are from my "tiny art" series, which is a little on going art projects of mine. I work at a print shop and found a tiny stack of discarded paper and thought it would make for a neat set of tiny tarot cards, but I ended up just doing all sorts of various drawings. I am posting my favorites and the ones I think would be most appreciated here. The tiny art is 2.5 x 1 3/8 inches

This one is simply titled "Victorian Monster" I drew it with a ball point pen (actually a favorite medium of mine) and just a touch of color with a magic marker.

This one is titled "Satan is summoned" I meant the smoke coming form the eyes to be symptomatic of a demon being summoned. Incidentally this particular drawing was never supposed to have so much black in it. While I was drawing it my cat came to sit right by my feet and blasted me with a very loud MEOW while I was delicately drawing in the lines, and made me mess up. The only way to save it was using a bunch of black ink. I think it turned out even better.

This one was inspired when one day I had witnessed a huge flock of tiny birds suddenly fly from one tree to another. It was pretty interesting, it looked like one tree had leaves, and suddenly it was that tree that was bare and another one filled up with bird leaves. Now which bird organized that effort I wonder?

This is part of a sub group of drawings in my tiny art series, where I illustrated lyrics of favorite songs. I wonder if any of you are familiar with Camper Van Beethoven? This is a lyric from the song "Tania"

I will post some more later, since this thing will only let me post four images at a time. Hope you guys like them.

I thought this one looks better here than it does in person. I kind of messed up on the hand there, but I generally can't take it back once I ink it in.

Some of you might have seen this one, as I posted it as a reply to another art thread. This one is titled Demon Butterfly collector. Someone told me, in another community, the monster resembles a character from some game called "Uncle Wiggly" but I never heard of that game, and the person couldn't find any images of the creatures he was referring to, which is a pity, because I really wanted to see them.

This one was just a random doodle. I had been experimenting with some of my other tiny art and found I really liked how they looked when I enlarged them. I used a comparatively thick line for this drawing to get the effect I wanted.

This last one is NOT one of my tiny art drawings. It was actually something I thought I saw one day while driving to meet my friends for lunch one afternoon. For those of you not in the know, here in the south we have a problem with a very aggressive non-native plant called kudzu, and it basically swallows huge areas of land and chokes it off. In any case I drove past a bunch of it and thought I spotted some spooky looking alien monsters looking at me from the kudzu. I looked and looked again, and it was just some garbage, but the impression was so strong that I drew it when I met my friend for lunch. I had my sketch book with me thankfully.

Some neat, moody stuff! That last one is intriguing. You could frame a whole story around that image.

Thanks! I draw other kinds of art, too, but this sort of art is what I mainly do. My mom hates my monsters, so for her, I draw cats and flowers and stuff like that, which I can also enjoy drawing, too. I just think the monsters are more interesting.

I actually prefer using plain old el-cheap-o ball point pens to do my drawings. I just like the scratchy effect I can get from them. Here's another one of my more recent drawings.

Then I drew this cartoon, too. I draw myself as a pig, and this supposed to be a drawing of me facing off some of my nightmare creatures. Since someone else asked about the air plane and "horse shampoo" I will go a-head and explain those. I grew up on an air force base, and at some point in time I saw an air plane with it front part open, like one of those novelty plastic Easter eggs. The air plane was enormous, like seriously HUGE. I wasn't sure I had actually seen it, until someone confirmed to me the existence of such a plane, apparently it's a Super Guppy. I was terrified of that thing, and the sound of airplanes in general. Not so much seeing them, but hearing them rumble over the skied, which living on an air force base happened ALL THE TIME, and it made the tv picture turn to snow, too. The "horse shampoo" is actually a bottle of mucilage (glue), and this is less explainable. When I was very little I had a dream of being in a store and seeing a bunch of these bottles of mucilage. It was just one of those funny things, Something about those bottles with the funny rubber nipples scared me. As you can see, I wasn't sure how to spell mucilage until after I drew the picture.
