Hey guys just wondering what you would consider to be "postmodern graphic novels" and which would be your favourites?

Also I've heard that Maus and watchmen are considered postmodern but not sure why exactly?

I'd say that 'Watchmen' was deconstructionist, but not necessarily Postmodern.
'Maus', on the other hand, is not only aware of itself, but incorporates that awareness into its own structure.
I'd say a lot of Morrison's work, including 'Animal Man', 'Seaguy', 'The Filth' and 'Seven Soldiers' are postmodern in nature.

I'd include Bryan Talbot's 'Alice In Sunderland' and Scott McCloud's 'Understanding Comics' in that group as well.
The self-reflexive nature of Gene Yang's 'American Born Chinese' and it's spiral structure would also probably include it.
And Alan Moore's 'Promethea' is definitely in there, too.
