Just picked up the first trade paperback of this finally. I feel terrible for not jumping on earlier.

It was recommended to me by the owners of the local shop... and damn! That is a well-written comic.

Just loved the artwork throughout, the framing and action of the characters really made it seem animated throughout instead of looking at drawn pictures.

Also, how cool is that storyline? I love noir, I love hawaii, I love this book.

It's never too late.

I jumped on this immediately when I heard about it. Image Comics actually ran a few comic strips on their website before the series dropped. I don't know if they were included in the trade or not.

Gumshoes are always portrayed as being realists, and the melding of the supernatural with noir works great in this series. The art ain't bad either.
