I noticed the first 5 issues all say "of 6," yet issues 6 and 7 say "of 7." This is the '06 to '07 series with Gaiman and Romita, Jr. Just wondering why they're numbered like that.
Oh and just to mention, I bought this series for the covers. They're amazing. =)

I imagine it was originally intended to be a 6-issue series that ended up running long, so they expanded it to 7 issues in order to tell the story at the length the creators wanted to (and sell an additional issue). It seems like that actually happens every so often. As far back as the 80s I remember the Punisher miniseries was supposed to be 4 issues and ended up being 5.

Yeah, once Gaiman finished the fifth issue, he realized he needed more space to wrap everything up. So they tacked on an extra issue.

The ending still felt very rushed and forced.

Thanks! It's funny how they do that. I thought at first maybe I'd gotten the wrong last 2 issues.
I'll probably read over the next week. Wish me luck!

Was this series any good?
Did it take place in current Marvel continuity?
I've always been a big fan of the Eternals.

It's decent. Not up to Gaiman's usual standards, but JRJR did a very nice job.
It's very definitely in current continuity, which is . . . not necessarily a good thing.

Hmmm, that sounds kind of ominous. I will have to find the TPB and see what you mean.

What he means is that:
It takes place during Civil War continuity. Iron Man, Hank Pym, and Wasp guest star and Iron Man tries to get Sersi and the Eternals to register.
I thought it was good since it shows the context.

Oh hell, that sounds like fun!
I'm gonna definitely get the trade now. Thanks Will.
