Just looking at all the misery the current pair is providing from all the other posts.
So I'm just wondering who would you like to write and draw it?
Me Id like JMS to write and Gary Frank to draw.
I think JMS has a fun style to him that would work with the Ultimates, and Gary Frank is awesome, he can pull off emotion very well and it would fit.

Millar and Hitch.

Or Brubaker and Epting, the team behind Captain America.

Writer:
Ellis or Gage.
Artist:
No idea.... It matters who's open, but someone like Finch or McNiven would be great.

Isn't asking "who do you want?" sorta pointless... considering it's already done?

No I dont think it is. This is no different then some of the make your X-men team topics that have people picking writer and artist.
Me I would want Millar and Hitch. But thats because their works ranks up with the all time best.

Of course, those are ongoing series whereas Ultimates 3 is... not?
And personally, I say keep Loeb on the book. I don't read it personally, but the whining threads are a hell of a lot of fun to read through.

OK Ultimates 4
Blader5489
02-25-2008, 06:23 PM
Writer: Millar, Ellis, Gage--any of them would do
Artist: Hitch
As far as I'm concerned, Bryan Hitch was the irreplaceable member of the Ultimates creative team.

Writer: Warren Ellis, Joss Whedon or Mark Millar
Artist: John Cassaday, Steve McNiven or Bryan Hitch
Choices are a little obvious and the top in the business generally but there's a reason and I think they're all great and well suited for this title. McNiven would need that colorist that did the Secret Invasion thing, made his art look that much more realistic.

Writer: Andy Diggle, Grant Morrison, Warren Ellis, Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka, JMS, Mark Millar, Bendis, Matt Fraction...
Artist: as long as he has a somewhat realistic style I am not picky.

Writer: Mark Millar
Artist: the dude that did "Ultimate Six", Trevor Hairsine

Lets be honest here this is an ongoing series. As for Loeb he isn't doing a bad job.

Seconding this. The Ultimates would be epic with these guys on board.

While I am like most, Millar and Hitch's work is the standard to all that come to The Ultimates will be measured. Here are 2 names that I would have an intrest in because I have no idea what they are doing now so it's just picking these 2 for the new blood they would inject into it. Writer: Scott Lobdell Artist: Ian Churchill
Bruce Edwards

Writer? Brubaker, Cage, Ellis, Ennis, Millar (heh). All of them can manage superheroes in a grown up environment (although Ennis may be constantly tempted to turn it into a farce).
Artist? John Cassaday would be the ultimate replacement to Hitch. Otherwise Juan Jose Ryp, Steve Epting (although I hope he never leaves Captain America ...), Frank Quietly or J.G. Jones would fill Hitches large shoes.
*Sigh*. If only ...

It would be great to see Ennis on the title as well, perhaps grittier than would be appropriate though... :p

Apart from Millar and Hitch.....
Artist : Travel Foreman
Writer : Brian K. Vaughn

Grant Morrison and Art Adams.
(That's assuming I can't pick Millar and Hitch.)
Frank

Or Brubaker and Epting, the team behind Captain America.
That would be a pretty good idea to "tone down" the goofy turn it took for volume 3. Brubaker is very different from Millar but then again maybe a more sombre vibe would be needed here instead of something showy.

Ellis or Bendis would do the title justice when it comes to writing. And yeah, Trevor Hairsine did a bang up job on Ultimate Six. Carlos Pacheco would also totally rock on art duties.
That having been said, I'm a big fan of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" - and Ultimates 1 and 2 weren't anywhere near broke! So Millar and Hitch!!!

That having been said, I'm a big fan of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" - and Ultimates 1 and 2 weren't anywhere near broke! So Millar and Hitch!!!The problem there is that they were kinda tired of doing the Ultimates, and wanted a change of pace.
