Well, Jason Aaron only took over last issue, Fatguy, and he is rocking this title. I hope he has a nice long run. I LOL'd at that line too.

They guy was duped by an evil angel. I think that'd give anyone a chip on their shoulder.

Ah! So glad you did. I am not Jason Aaron, but I am a writer (non-comic) who loves his work. I hope more people will try him out! I am loving his DC - Vertigo title Scalped and I think the guy is an absolute genius at gritty, down to Earth, type work. I hope more people will jump on his Ghost Rider. He is writing an arc on the Wolverine solo title as well.
I swore off Wolverine long ago but jumped on for his arc. Hopefully Marvel can promote him properly. Aaron is a fantastic writer and his style will absolutely make GR a better title, in my opinion.
So, if you like the new GR direction, let others know! It's a decent title when handled properly but it excels under the writing of someone who can capture the gritty and dark feel as Aaron can.

I'm just glad that the Daniel way brain dead Blaze is gone. Only complaint here is I wish he would tone down the angst on Blaze a little. I mean this man has been through hell many times over so he should have a grasp on some things. Also hate the accent. Hell how hard is it to read the characterization in the Blaze series and ghost rider vol 2 which I thought was done well.

I did not see any evidence of the accent in the preview of Aaron's second issue. I agree it can be hard to read, but that does not mean it can't be fitting. As for the angst... Dude, you just found out an Angel, living in Heaven, is responsible for making you judge, jury and executioner of "BAD" people, who are not, conceivably, any worse than you, who thought you were a demon of..... Really!?
GR has every right to be pissed and Jason Aaron is capturing that essence extremely well.

If I knew of any virgins, I would offer them to you as thanks. But seriously, this is Ghost Rider with the attitude I only wish the 1990's could have imagined. Jason Aaron is the kind of fiction writer I wish I could be. And, hey, Jason, if you read this, PM me and let me know how I can make your relevancy matter in long fiction. And, well, if you happen to like modern fantasy/fiction, lemme know via PM. Bless you!
