I was in a restaurant this money and I see this jar called "Pennies for Peace". Apparently some group wants to collect 400,000 pennies for 400,000 people in Darfur, I think those people are refugees. If they just get the 400,000 pennies then would have only collected $4,000. Shouldn't they at least try and ask for more?

4 thou is better than nothing, and in a few years, the metal in those pennies may make them worth more than one cent.

Huh?

They should probably try and hook up with the charity: "Loose Change Under Sofa Cushions For Peace." It sounds like they have a similar plan, and will have a similar impact.

They already cost more than a penny to make.

Four grand in Darfur will turn your house into the Playboy Mansion.

yeah, of course. between the mining, possible importing from China, minting, etc. but their actual value on the stock market as a melted down metal may soon increase.
