Im personally really enjoyng ultimate fantastic four. It goes at a nice pace. The only thing I dont like is Dr. Doom. He could have been better but from Namor, alternate realities and origin this is my second fav team behind the Ultimates.

However I cant wait till they leave the Baxter building.

im just at the moment where hey find out Namor is a prisoner.

The FF of any universe are pretty dull to me.

I like Sue but she always seems to be just the "babe of the team".

I don't care much for Reed. Johnny's alright but he's pretty typical. Thing's decent as well.

I wish they'd have the balls to break up the FF and let them join different teams. That'd be more interesting to me.

That being said, I like Ultimate Thanos. :D

The Fantastic Four is so lost on you it's not even funny, dude...

Do you not just 'get' them, or...?

LOL

Well if you say "they are so lost on me" then why would you ask me if I just don't "get" them in your very next sentence?

Do you "get" yourself?

No I get it, they are "the superhero family" but to me...that family...is pretty boring. I'd like to see Sue out on her own. :D

When I said they were lost on you, that was what I think.

Obviously, I'm not you, so I don't know, so that's why I then asked if you get them.

I hope that makes sense. It does to me. A little. ;)

For me, I don't find them boring--well, not all the time, at least. Personally, I find Ben the most interesting. (Then Sue).

Anyways--you say you'd like to see them on their own? I recommend Fantastic Four: The End, if you haven't read it. The four all do their own thing. It's a good read with pretty good art, to top it all off. :)

Yeah, I think Sue and Reed have a great dynamic when written well, especially due to the rarity of the superhero relationship (don't list examples to disprove me, there are obviously many but not as high scoped or lasting as these two).

I love the F4 but I do think that Ben and Johnny can make for very one dimensional characters at times, Ben's angstiness can be an interesting plot point but I think there's little natural progression on it a lot of the time.

But anyways, back on point, it seems a lot of people don't ever warm to the Fantastic Four, I never really got that...

The Ultimate Sue Storm is not just the babe of the team and she's totally different from her 616 counterpart. Ultimate Sue is extraordinarly strong in will and power. She uses her skills in extremely new (and sometimes violent) ways to kick butt.

UFF is now officially my favorite UU book. Although I do miss Pascal Ferry's great work (in my opinion he's wasted on UIM II). His art gave the UFF a distinct extra-worldly look to it that meshed well with their galactic stories and gave them a distinct look amongst all the other UU books.

yea i gotta git the trade covering the whole skrull/time travel thing. I dont know why but i like this story the most with Johhnny feeling all sad about not considering Ben feelings.

And then Ben making a huge sacrifice. One thing I dont undersstand is why they letting those zombie FF live but ill prb find out sooner or later.

I should add that while Ult Sue is a biophysicist, 616 is not. Which I think is pretty awesome.

I do love UFF, it's carved a nice quiet nieche for itself away from all the bluster of Ultimates 3 and downright coolness of USM. The only thing I'd like is a little more character development, a sense that events are moving on. Whilst I like the interpretations of various sci fi threats every month and the cool ultimisations (some of the best in the whole line) I do think that they need some... well, movement as characeters, in different situations. Like Ultimate Spider Man.

Then again the whole Thanos thing is coming to a head, so this might come back to bite me. Big changes in store?

I suppose the closest thing to what you're mentioning is the recent Reed/Sue break-up going on right now.

But other than that I can see what you're saying about character development.

Ok it looks ike a new team came wt 35 or something. I dont think I like he writing nor the drawing but the arc before his is awesome. It displayed Doc Doom as the strongest even moreso than Thor!

The Storms mom is somehing else as well.
