Is that "kick" in colossus's hand?

If this is a repeat of the damn Legacy Virus conclusion from 616 I may just give up on Ultimate X Men. Kirkman's gone and it still seems they're still intent on just rehashing the 90s. This was a great book!
Of course I could be wrong and the whole image could just be designed to rile up the blood of gullible morons such as myself.
Let's hope for the latter!

New costumes? Is this a change or a cry out for help.

God, I hope they change Wolverine's costume back.
I HATE his new costume. I like most of Kirkman's run but I HATE Wolverine's costume.

New costumes would be hot! Brooks would make cool ones.
And I hope it IS Kick over the Virus!
UPDT: Someone should edit in a picture of Kitty where the vial is, lulz!

It all makes sense now!
That vial is either:
A cure for the legacy virus. (But I think they would have to wait for the legacy virus to become a real threat for that to happen.)
A cure for mutation. (Very likely, I think marvel wants this line to be more like the movies to continue attracting a newer audiance, it was after all marvel who requested that sapertooth in X-men evolution look more like his movie counterpart.)
A cure for colossus's homosexuality. (If the writer is insane enough to go that far, Aron Coleite may just hate the ultimate universe and might just want to cancel it through censorship. It would certainly be a change from the origional comics, which were started to prevent discrimination but change to encouraging it. Chances are it is not, but think of the trouble Aron Coleite would get in if he did.)

Their going to keep ultimizeing the 90s to the point that it is going to be the same as the mainstream universe only with ultimate alterations. Their going to wind up doing duplicate stories of civil war, house of M and messiah complex only set in the ultimate universe.

I think there's a chance the vial contains a strain of the Legacy Virus itself, since it was constructed by SHIELD. Plus Coleite did the episode that showed the greatest effects of the Shanti virus in Heroes.

his new costume is his old one from the beginning which looks a crap-load better then the one the had in for Ult, 616, and evolution

Wasn't the cure in development in Ult. X-men by Fury?

It's on hold since Beast, the sole researcher, broke out.
However it's nice to see a more organic look to Colossus's design, it's nice to see a non-chrome version of him.
and to answer the threads question, I pray to god they get new uniforms, the current "x-team", if thats what they really want to call themselves, needs to change their uniforms to what they were BEFORE Storm raided the dumpster behind their "base" in Australia (WTF?)

I can guarantee you 100% without a doubt that it's not the legacy virus or any virus for that matter. This story line is going to knock your socks off and the stuff in the vile is going to make you completely change the way you look at the Ultimate X-men. I am an X-men junky and have been for over 20 years and I haven't been this excited for an X-men storyline in a long LONG time and I think you guys are going to dig the hell out of it. No 90s storyline here, this is all new and has never remotely been done before.

Woohoo! Thanks Mark. This book needs all the help it can get to attain it's former glory and compete with the other X-books

They're X-Men. Getting costumes new every year or so costumes is pretty much hardwired into the characters by now.

Yes, a research project funded by the unlimited funding of SHIELD to cure mutants with only one man heading up the project.. As a scientist this can boggle the mind a bit.
To be fair to Storm, she was rummaging through a dumpster behind a McDonald's and could have picked a hamburger head for Bishop, clown makeup for Wolverine, and other such nonsense. Who let Storm choose the costumes? Bet it was Bishop, trying to get in good favor so the team would stick together. I hope Colossus has a big gay fashion moment and confronts Storm about the costumes. Hehe ;)
