Winter Men

Did anybody on this board read Winter Men and remember how good it was? Was it ever finished or moved to another publisher to be finished? I was thinking about some of the best books I've read in the past couple years and this book popped into my head first. I miss it.

It was never finished.

Best comic I'd read in years.

It was supposed to end with #6 being a double-sized issue. Originally it was supposed to be eight issues. But the double-sized issue was announced about two years ago, maybe a year and a half.

No word, as far as I know, on what happened with this thing.

It was a FANTASTIC series, and the muddling of getting its ending out depresses me greatly. It sure would be nice to see it completed some day, but at this point they should just skip to putting the final issue in a Complete GN

I have to wonder if this was at Vertigo if things would have gone better? Or was it just a scheduling problem with the creators? Too bad. It was a neat series. I even got a couple issues autographed by the artist.

Yeah, that's a great idea. It would give all us fans closure, and give the book a chance at finding a new audience in the TPB crowd.

But yes, A.Warlock, as the other posters have noted, it was a fantastic comic, and I'd highly recommend you checking it out if you can find the back issues... Just, you know, bear in mind that it's not really finished.

its a shame...Winter Men is one of the best stuff ive read.
