Asked by a fan, Carlin said that the Birds of Prey will be moving out of Metropolis into a new fictional city that is being set up for the book and the team. New villains will be making an appearance as well.

Really excited by this idea.

Carlin added one tease about Tony Bedard's upcoming storyline, saying: "It's been a long time coming, but we're going to see Barbara meet up with the Joker."

We will have to see about this one. Could be good or bad.

Oooh, I got chills. That's sounds so freaking AWESOME. Helena's gots an axe to grind as well.

And Bedard mentioned the new location, Platinum Flatts (notice Black Alice shirt in BoP #115) among other Birds stuff in a Pulse interview:

THE PULSE: What are your immediate goals for Birds of Prey? How are you going to hit the ground running?

BEDARD: In Sean McKeever's issues, he's setting up a new location in the DCU called Platinum Flats. It's like Silicon Valley -- a high tech Mecca where the organized crime is hidden yet deadly. I'm going to keep expanding on that, introducing new villains and bringing back a few old ones, putting Oracle and company through the wringer as they embark on a new status quo.

THE PULSE: Thinking long term, where do you see the series six to twelve months from now?

BEDARD: We will have revealed the new villain team who will oppose them. Actually, by a year from now we'll have two new, separate teams of adversaries.

I think it's going to ALL be good.
