Fell is outstanding, though it come out VERY sporadically. Proof is good.

Pax Romana is excellent and only one issue has come out so far.

Infinite Horizon is another I would strongly reccomend. Issue 3 comes out next week.

'76 - 70s styled crime double feature

Casanova - sci-fi and espionage collide

Proof - in the same vein as X-files but focused on monsters and hidden creatures

Fell is good for a fresh start. It's from an excellent creative team (Warren Ellis and Ben Templesmith) and they've doing well so far.

Also i would strongly recommend Dynamo 5 and Noble Causes to you. They are the results of same brain (Jay Faerber --which is good) and both of them about..erm..powers? Btw , another Jay product , Gemini , is waiting for a kick-off (maybe did).

Invincible , Walking Dead and Spawn are some more classics to suggest. I am a diehard fan of Spawn for long but , frankly , others are better than the scary lunatic hellspawn. They are nearly perfect.

Dynamo 5 and Fell are at the very beginning of their run and these are the easy ones to collect backissues.

So Just a writer, ALex and I did a book at AIT called Seven Sons, AIT is where Brian Wood started making a name in comics, I love Brian's books so I sent him some art Based on a book he was doing called Supermarket, I told him I did something at AIT too and that I was thinking of doing an ongoing with Alex
(Proof writer, no joke intended), I asked Brian where he thought migth be a good place and he introdused us at image, Alex and I did a whole issue of Proof and submited it to image they contemplated it for a while then gave us the go ahead,... I think thats about it.

If you're ready.

Fell is original, fascinating, and easy to jump on to, since each issue is self-contained. Ellis and Templesmith (?) are trying out some really cool story-telling techniques here. (And it's only $1.99!)

I enjoyed Invincible a lot when I was reading it, but I dropped it about a year back. But those first two or three trades are golden!

I loved the first 75 issues of Savage Dragon immensely, can't recommend those enough. Erik Larsen seems to be one of the most genuine people in comics, who simply loves to write and draw as much as he can. I have much respect for the man, even if I dropped his title a few years back. It's also interesting to watch the progression of his art go from his early 90s rounder style to his current more-angular Kirby-ish approach.

As far as the formerly-Image category: can't go wrong with Kabuki and Powers!

Sorry, forgot to mention that the late 90s Alan Moore run on Wildcats (#21-34, 50, and one 1-shot) is absolutely amazing! Featuring a good dose of Travis Charest artwork as well, which is always a treat!
