Beast and Wolvie (and to a lesser degree Quicksilver) so far are the only members of the X-men family who've Crossed over and back again to the Avengers. Who'd you like to see from our X-Gang make the jump to the arguably premier team of the Marvel U...The Avengers!
1) Colossus
2) Kitty Pryde
3) Nightcrawler
4) Angel
5) Storm
6) Cyclops
7) Rogue
8) Iceman
9) Jean Grey
10) Other

I remember a storyline which featured Kang which showed all future, present and past members of the Avengers and Colossus was shown. But i would love to see Shadowcat or Dazzler. But i think Jean would make the best Avenger, if Cyclops could'nt be persuaded to exchange letters.

I reckon Avengers status is a prime opportunity for New Mutant/GenXers to branch out and advance themselves - as the cast of X-Men can never be seen to age and therefore will always be permanently 20-30ish. Condemning Sam Guthrie and the rest to a permanent adolescence.
That said I'd love Cannonball to join the Avengers, especially the New Avengers. He's an aerial combatant, which they lack, his powers continue to evolve, plus he has experience as the leader of an underground mutant cell.
Someone like Jesse Bedlam would also be welcome (is he even still alive?)

Ice Man is an omega level mutant, and would fit just fine with the Mighty Avengers. He's just as powerful as both Storm or Jean.

Its not just power level. He just doesn't say "Avengers" to me. Similarly, 90's Jim Lee Jean wouldn't be a good fit for the Avengers either.

I could see Nightcrawler joining. He would bring some needed flair to the New Avengers and some genuine good spirit. Spider-Man's lost his ability of being lighthearted and now just seems stressed. I mean, I could Nightcrawler getting a beer with Clint/Hawkeye/Ronin. I could see him chatting with Jessica Jones about her problems with Luke (Nightcrawler's a big go to for needed advice guy), he's have knowledge in magic since his ex was a sorceress so he could relate to Dr.Strange and I think he'd a great character to enter into a relationship with Echo. Nightcrawler always likes different, emotionally wrecked who aren't exactly normal chicks (his sister, a blue alien, a shi'ar woman, Meggan). He's low key, but his teleporting and blending in to shadows would be a great asset. And it's not like he's being used in X-Men.

Colossus or Iceman, I voted Iceman in the poll. He got the edge because the Avengers always seem to have plenty of muscle already, and it feels like Iceman keeps finding ways out of the limelight in the X-Men, so maybe he can shine elsewhere for a while.

2 for 2! I totally agree! Especially with her being a Magneto spawn again. Her half sibs did it, so should she!
Hehehe, half the Avengers were at her wedding and she also fought them on Genosha, so watching the Avengers in palpable fear of her blowing up in their faces like Wanda and Pietro would quite fun. I wouldn't expect her stay with them to last that long, but the Avengers being forced to deal with their buried feelings about Pietro and Wanda would make her presence with them more then worth it.
It would certainly also be a refreshing change of pace for Lorna.

Colossus, definitely.
He bores me silly in the X-Men sometimes, and I can really see a transition to the Avengers as reinvigorating his character. He should so have an affair with Black Widow while Kitty's on her road trip and when she returns/is resurrected Shadowcat vs. Black Widow showdown. T'would be awesome and you all know it.
Angel is another one the Avengers can take, but I see less potential for him; Storm I like in the X-Men, but I might just be getting withdrawal symptoms and thus be biased - it's good she's having a little bit of wider Marvel experience, in the long run.

Dazzler. Then Colossus.
X-Men who would make good Avengers (in order)
1. Iceman
2. Angel
3. Storm
4. Sunfire
5. Dazzler (even though I hate her)
6. Juggernaut
7. Colossus
8. Phoenix II (I also dislike this character, but I think she'd fit in well)
9. Cable
10. Emma Frost
Novaya Havoc

Dazzler and Storm. They'd be the best fits as they can extend beyond the XU easily.
As for the others:
1) Colossus
- No reason, no need. Always been an X-Man, and been beholden to Xavier/Magneto.
2) Kitty Pryde
She's dead, and has been with the X since 13. It's like her comfort zone.
3) Nightcrawler
See Colossus, sans Magneto-connection.
4) Angel
I could see it, but without a good impetus, no. He'd be a bootleg Stark.
6) Cyclops
No way. Always an X.
7) Rogue
Simply don't see it. Oooo boy. Her and Carol?
8) Iceman
See Cyclops. Even if he branched out to Champions/Defenders, I don't see it.
9) Jean Grey
Maybe, but too important to the X-Mythos.

Emma would be REALLY interesting.
after that Jean.

Storm, first and foremost among the choices offered, because she's assertive without being unnecessarily aggressive, she's very powerful, and her powerset differs greatly from others in either Avengers squad.
I could see Angel fitting, in, though.

Dazzler and Storm. They'd be the best fits as they can extend beyond the XU easily.
I agree. Storm is now married into the family. Plus, she's already an Avenger in Marvel Adventures. It just makes sense. I also agree that she, like Wolverine, sort of transcends the X-books.
Dazzler also transcends. Of course, she was developed outside of the X-Men, and then forced into that little box. She should have been an Avenger years ago.

Pre-Disassembled, I would've liked to have seen Angel make the transition, just b/c he's a favorite of mine and he always seemed to be one of the most high profile of mutants in the Marvel U and could've made the transition smoothly. Plus, after a few training sessions with Cap, he could be an even more credible threat. Now, with the split between a seemingly all-powerhouse team and a street level guerilla squad, I don't think he fits anywhere.
I'd also wager on putting Storm on an Avengers team (most likely Mighty). She's already in Marvel Ages Avengers, and her new role as Queen kinda puts her on a whole new level in terms of not being an exclusively X-character anymore. Add to that, her powers, and she's a credible worldly presence.

Well it would be better then long term space limbo. And, it might not be a bad idea until Magneto finds a way to reactivate her X-gene, along with Pietro, and his own if the solits are right and he is still depowered. I can't see them giving Wanda back her X-gene anytime soon if she is also depowered.

Jean would make a fantastic fit. Power wise she'd fit right in since she's fill the psychic void in the Avengers. And there are lots of opportunities for her to make new relationships and friendships.
To see Jean on the Avengers fighting Ultron for example would be awesome.

Hmm...I would go with Polaris. I'd love to see the public's reaction in the current Marvel Universe to Lorna being placed on the team. I mean she's not technically a mutant anymore.
She can fill the Wanda and Pietro void. Plus she has magnetic powers. An Ex-mutant working with the Avengers, whose power is electromagnetism and shares the same genes as a "terrorist".
She could also play resident b^&ch. Then they'd be almost as cool as the X-Men :p

Imagine how different the x-universe would be if that were the case.
She needs to join the Avengers NOW.
The Avengers should let some more X-Men villains join. Except for going nuts and blowing everything up the Scarlet Witch worked out pretty well as far as recruits go. While someone like Sabertooth may not seem like a good match for such a bunch of straight-arrow heroes the Avengers have also let clowns like Starfox join so I'm guessing their enlistment standards aren't all that rigorous.

Jean. To avoid the whole Jean/Scott/Emma/Wolverine drama, joining a different high profile team like the Mighty Avengers would be a refreshing change for Jean. Honestly? Jean Grey should always belong in the X-books. Put her in Legacy or somewhere away from Scott and Emma.
I wouldn't mind Storm joining the Avengers... I don't buy the Avengers books so I won't see her.
Dazzler would thrive as a character with the Avengers. Like many Avengers team members, she'd basically started out in her own book and has her own background because of it. So focusing on her individiuality would work really well with the Avengers, "Dazzler from the X-Men" wouldn't.
And what's up with people wanting Polaris to be an Avenger?? With Wanda and Pietro no longer appearing in the Avengers books, she has zero connections there to start with. She'll have no reasons to be there. Being on the team because she's a child of Magneto like Wanda and Pietro and they were on the Avengers, isn't a good enough reason. And so what if Lorna not a mutant anymore... she's had nearly 40 years of history with the X-books, she'll aways be a mutant at heart. And I could talk alot more about the reasons for why she should stay on the X-books.

She isn't in the X-books right now and she won't be in the X-books for the forseeable future, because none of the writers want to pick her up. The reason she is in space is that Bru didn't want to use the character in Uncanny and none of the other writers had a place for her. A short stay with the Avengers would bring some interest to the character outside of X-book fans and bring her out of comic book limbo.
Sure, I would rather she appear on a team X-book. But, the Avengers would be far better then her current situation which is long term space limbo. If I had to make a list of what I would prefer for the character it would be.
1. X-Men
2. Avengers
3. Limbo on Earth
4. Another Space drama
5. Limbo in Space
Other then an X-book writer telling Marvel he wants to use Lorna and picking her up her character from limbo, Lorna spending some time with the Avengers would be the next best thing for the character and allow the character to interact for a little while with people beyond her normal circle of friends.

The Avengers don't need a psychic, the only one that ever was a part of the team was Moondragon, and they managed to get through pretty heavy battles without psychics... psychics are not a "must" for superteams :p
Besides, it just doesn't feel right to see Jean out of the X-World, she has virtaully no ties to the rest of the MU, while Ororo's husband is a previous team member and she has just fulfilled a temporary membership in the Fantastic Four and shown how easily she adapts to fighting alongside other heroes. There was a graphic novel called "The Aladdin Effect" in which Ororo teamed up with Tigra, She-Hulk and Wasp... Ororo fits in with other heroes perfectly, Jean doesn't.
