Obviously Strfe and Onslaught will intervene, saving Wolverine's healing factor from theft. I wonder if that's taken care of by his insurance?

One thing that I do kind of like about Kirkman's run, despite some of the poor writing, is the fact that he's consolidated some of the 90's X-characters into alternate versions of existing characters. Cable being a future version of Wolverine and Apocalypse being a suped-up version of Sinister were both pretty smart moves IMO, as it helps to prevent the Ultimate X-men title from getting bogged down with too many mutant characters.

I don't like it. It's just so... boring. Apocalypse doesn't seem any different to the 616. How many issues has Kirkman got left to redeem himself?

This still sheds 0% light on what Apocalypse is!
I doubt Sinister and Apocalypse are the same person, I do think Apocalypse is using Sinister’s body to his own ends and somehow altered it to suit his own appearance. While they are sharing the same body that does not make them the same people (In fact they are most likely not sharing it and Sinister has been "evicted" giving Apocalypse complete control, how he manages to do that I have know idea! Is a thousand year old mutant who has been reduced to taking over other peoples bodies? An alien entity? The Anti-Christ? A demon? Prof X's secret brother? Or maybe he will just do or say something near end of the arc to give us a clue leaving his origin to be explored by another writer?
I Heard that Kirkman said this arc will involve not just the X-men but others in the ultimate universe too. I think we can safely say that means Shield and the Ultimate’s, I wouldn’t rule out Spiderman either Since that stuff seems to be happening in New York. I know some of you may not like the prospect of Kirkman having any control over USM but I think this one will have a big impact on the UU because Kirkman obviously wants to leave with a bang.

Wow I am actually really looking forward to this, it looks set to redeem the recent mistakes Kirkman has made, namely the misture with Beast and offing Angel! (Though I didn't really connect with ultimate Angel, compared to 616 Angel anyway).

Kirkman will have the book for 2 more issues after this one, however I get the funny feeling that he might have the book for a little longer somehow.

One of the many weaknesses to his run is his ability to put himself in a good situation and bore the hell out of it. They shouldn't have sat around and had that "angry at wolverine" filler, especially when peopel are dieing up above them. Not to mention the fact Wolverine went from feral savage-like killer to responsible leader, really good characterization there when Storm is more capable of doing something like that than Wolverine. Or god forbid we give Psylocker or Pyro something to do other than "attack!"
Also, I thought it was funny how "ass" wasn't like "@#$"

I like the concept that Apocalypse is stealing powers, but something about Bishop saying "someone we know" when angel's killed makes me think more than powers are absorbed into Apocalypse.

Why is everyone insisting that Apocalypse and Sinister are the same? Apocalypse is an entity inhabiting Sinisters body. They are diffrent situations entirely.
It is most likely that Apocalypse and the Phoenix are twin forces, just like Phoenix was using Jean as a host Apocalypse is using Sinister as a host.
This theory is also supported by this:

That wasn't really his idea though. The Ultimateverse has been doing that since Proteus/Legion.

You are correct. Hence why Bishop said in his timeline, someone else became Apocalypse. Someone they weren't aware of until it was too late, and he'd already gained his powerbase. That's why Bishop had to ensure it was Sinister who became transformed. So they knew who it was, and could have a chance of stopping him.

I think Loeb takes over next, for Ultimatum.

To the "Apocalypse Force" theory, no. Just no. Kirkman isn't that terrible, is he?
But anyway, the point of what he said was that they never would have been prepared for this. Just one of many examples; Nightcrawler would still be in a coma. Hence he wouldn't be leading the Morlocks, or arriving at the last minute to distract Apocalypse. In fact, without Cable the X-men would be completely unaware of the Morlocks.
In fact, this shows that Kirkman, however terrible his characterisation can be, can in fact work many subplots into a great over-reacing plot. After thinking it through just then, I'm less dissappointed with his run. :D

Lol at "craptacular". best word i've heard all year. My thoughts exactly on the story. i can't believe this is his great finale. anyone remember "return of the king"by mark millar and "magnetic north" by brian k vaughan?now those were season finales. i really dont know how kirkman intends to wrap this up in just two more issues. i don't mean to be a kirkman basher but the x-men is a fantastic franchise and i love the ultimate x-men concept because it escapes the mess that is 616 with all the convoluted stories and multiple x-books. his run has not been good and has brought the book to it's knees
Aron Coleite takes over from issue 94 for a 4 issue arc with Mark brooks as the artist( i think). then the esteemed Mr. loeb and david finch take over from issue 98 through 100 (ultimatum storyline). Hopefully after that a new creative team takes over and gives the book it's wow factor again because this book along with the entire ultimate universe has a lot of potential

Ultimatum could be good. It's supposed to be Bendis's idea, but Leob is writing it. Something to do with Magneto and Reed Richards. Actually, it seems that the FF and the X-men were intentionally kept apart, even though the themes are somewhat shared now. And it has slowly changed over time, too. Now many X-men have met the FF.
