How will final crisis go down??

After reading all the Crisis and following “52” and “Countdown”, and discussing infinite possibilities on how this could all end I’ve begun to look back at possible correlations between other DC stories (i.e. Kingdome Come and The Kingdom). Call me crazy but after reading The Kingdom recently there is a cell where Superman is getting blasted (near the middle of the book) and on his chest is the same scar as Superman Prime. Could there be a connection between Kingdom Come, The Kingdom and Final Crisis????[/FONT]

I still consider Kingdom Come to be one of the greatest comics ever written, so I sure to god hope so.

Well since everyone else is being a nice guy.....

No. Gog burned his chest in the kingdom using red sun energy because he's an asshole like that.

Completely unrelated. Different shaped "S' even.

However, Kingdom Come appears to inspire a lot that is cannon already it seems. I'm sure they didn't yoink KC Supes out just to join the JSA.

I think the final battle in Final Crisis will include Superman Prime and Kingdom Come Superman and one of those two will die.

I doubt it. Prime is supposed to be around after FINAL CRISIS and Kingdom Kal is too valuable a character to kill off.

Is he? That's interesting. Have they said what their plans are for him following FC?

I doubt it will. It might come into play somewhat, but I'm thinking Final Crisis will largely be about the Legion of Superheroes. And whoever was in the lightning rod.

Just take a look at the 0 cover, which has the Legion on it. As well as in Action comics this week, the Legion referring to "The Crisis of the 31st Century" or something similar, which was hinted at being Final Crisis.

I think it has been mentioned more than once that earth-KC in the 52 multiverse is NOT KC itself. It's just a very similar reality; thus, i believe that KC doesn't really run any risk of being "undone".

In addition, it doesn't really matter, does it? KC will be KC in all its magnificence even if they really do something to those characters.

cheers.

He was caught in Monarch's energy explosion. From what i've been hearing he'll show up in the Legion's future.

Concerning the Legion, the only thing that's been heard is some people on the internet wishing he would join the Legion.

What was actually heard was Geoff Johns stated, at a Newsarama interview, that he was asked to "loan" Superman-Prime to Countdown, but he asked for him back as he has plans for him.

Then I guess the question is which Legion will he be meeting up with. Superman Prime and the Legion...should be interesting.

Uh, no the question isn't which Legion. Nowhere has it ever been said, by anyone at DC, that he's meeting the Legion. For all we know Johns will use him in Green Lantern or whatever else he's writing at the time.

There's no need to be so defensive. I'm merely responding to what Samuraixsithlord posted.

Not defensive, just trying to head off bad information before it gets out of hand. :)

I wish DC would just forget about Kingdom Come.
Let go DC....just let go.......

There's also this bit (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=139577):
NRAMA: So the next Superman Prime story...

GJ: ... his next chapter is already planned.

NRAMA: And will be written by Geoff Johns.

GJ: Yeah. In a book I’m not currently writing.

That and "a time to call my own" (from DC Nation (http://www.dccomics.com/news/?nw=9091)) have people thinking Legion.

If Prime meets the Legion, isn't that just going to make it more glaringly ridiculous that they can't use the name "Superboy"?

You know, I read that article on Blackest Night and it got me thinking.

Maybe next year (2009), in response to the Black Lanterns the Guardians will create the White Lanterns. Afterall, do not all of the colors in the spectrum make bright white light?

If White light has all the colors making it, then it would not have any impurities (i.e. The green lanterns vulnerability to yellow).

White light would defeat the black lanterns.

Perhaps the mantle of the White Lantern would be the good Dr. Light?
Perhaps the evil Dr. Light would try to seize the White Lantern Ring.

Maybe with all the talk of colors and rainbows, the Rainbow Warrior or Dr. Spectro will also play a role.

This is all speculation, but I wonder...

I think Prime will lose his memory and join one of the Legions. I'm thinking it'll be the threeboot Legion--which I think is set on a future Earth-Prime. Why? Just look at all the photo-realistic comics showing up in that title. There would always be the threat of him remembering who he is, though.

Since Prime only appears in important stories, he could help a title just by appearing in it. On the other hand, it wouldn't be smart to overuse him. If they do that, he would cease to be special.

Thing is, if there are only 52 Earths, we've already seen Earth 51, we know Earth 1 still exists and Earth 52 is presumably New Earth, i can't see anywhere Earth Prime would fit...

General concensus is that New Earth is Earth 0, as it's is apparently the linchpin to the new multiverse. It's been stated that if New Earth gets destroyed, then every other Earth is automatically destroyed.
