She looks more Algerian now then she ever did which isn't a bad thing. Her Mum is Algerian and her Dad is from Monaco who has been drawn as both white and black on two separate occasions.

I like her nose better now, too. I preferred her with a wider face than she has recently though. She's looking a bit too much like Dani.

Doesn't much matter. She's awesome.

M has a beautiful nose!

(This reminds me of that chick in Dirty Dancing who had a nice nose that made her really cute... after her rhinoplasty she looked pretty generic among the dozen of actresses.)

Yes, but the post about her nose gave me the opportunity to post her awesome design by Bachalo. Yay GenX! And no one should complain about her Bachalo look, it doesn't get ANY better than that.

I'm glad that autism "diagnosis" isn't mentioned. It needs to be completely forgotten.

Why is that? One of her younger sisters was autistic. Hell, originally Penny was supposed to be deaf and mute. M herself isn't autistic, just Claudette.

I honestly don't think her backstory if that confusing at all, then again, I read Gen X from it's conception, and I own every M appearance. I think she's a great character and horribly under used. Her attitude is phenominal and she's even taken Frost down a peg or two before. I think her nose is great, it's defining and it makes her look older and more unique. Plenty of people have big noses. At least she didn't chop off all her hair and dye it pink or start wearing biker fetish clothes.

And M was not originally planned to be the twins. It was added in later. I think there's a comic book urban legend column about it somewhere.

And I believe that the twins thing actually was intended. However, Penance was not supposed to be the real M.

I don't see what all the fuss with her nose is about. Bachalo didn't really draw that much variety with his noses during his Gen X run. I think it's great to give her a more distinguished look.

LOL I just realized I know who Renascence is. Poor girl. I thought it was like a Greymalkin type thing.

EDIT: I meant that in the "I support you!" way, not the "shut up you're too loud". I hope that was clear.

i don't remember that. but i also don't think her current nose is "messed up." i think she's very exotic looking and beautiful.

I wish Bachalo got to draw her more in Messiah Complex than he did. :(

I think Sook did as good a job as Bachalo on Monet, I think I just don't like Raimondi's version (oh and the corny ass T-shirts, though I like the one with an 'X' on it the red leather pants don't work with it IMO). I also liked Dennis Calero's version, he gave her some hilarious moments with his knack for facial expressions.

I love how this whole thread is basically a multi-page discussion on M's nose of all things.

For the record I like it, because I'm weird and like people's looks based on how awesome they'd look as a caricature. Like Jamie and his rectangle head when Sook was drawing him. Or anyone Skottie Young draws.
