The Skottie Young New X-Men homage cover to Norman Rockwell was inspired. I can't remember the number but it's the one with Anole sitting outside the office after his fight with Rockslide.

My favorite has to be Skottie Young's Rockwell homage featuring Anole. That one is fantastic. A close second is that Silvestri cover featuring the classic team. LOVE it.

I also loved 42, but only because it has Anole there. I really dont like Norman Rockwell. And that picture is terribly creepy...

Alot of the Messiah CompleX covers were cool too. I really like the Jim Cheung variant for X-Men 207.

The one with Cable and the baby on the cover. It was Uncanny #493 I believe. I don't even like Cable, so its especially interesting when he can move like he did on that.

I gotta go with David Finch's X-Men #200.
I got him to sign my copy at the Baltimore-Con this year.
Finch is a real class act. He had 2 lines running at his table.
One for commissions and one for sigs. He'd draw a little and then sign and then go back to drawing. He's a human drawing machine. Watching him draw was the most fun I have ever had waiting in a line. In truth, all of his Messiah Complex covers would be a close second, especially the last New X-Men chapter of Messiah Complex.
Finch is just a bad-ass. If he's at Baltimore this year I'm saving up for a commission.

That was an awesome cover, but released Oct. of 2006 - it could be my favorite cover of that year though....just Rogue's facial expressions on the two arcs are priceless.

I agree with Andres' New X-Men #42 pick. Very well done homage to a great American artist. When you see that cover on the stand, how can you not pick up that book?

Well, I liked the Bianci covers on Wolverine, but I think X-Men had the best covers, sinse Carey started. Remember the first one, or the Mystic/Iceman (Though it was 2006). I loved all 3 covers of #200!

While I love the cover Optic Rage! posted as well, I think my favourite of 2007 was Finch's cover to X-Men 200, featuring everyone who had been a member of the team at that point.

You know, I like that she was on the cover and all Blue Phoenixy, but Tan's proportions have been REALLY off the past two years. Look at RAFOTSE: the beginning was really good... great even... and then towards the end, it just started getting bad.
